Ian, have you ever stirred the porridge? wink
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

MockTurtleSoup

all, slide down your throat without swallowing, foods are addictive!

my porridge

boiled water
oatmeal
molly mcbutter, (butter powder, no fat)
cinnamon
vanilla flavoring

boil till lightly creamy, but not snotty
add cinnamon, molly, vanilla
simmer 1 minute

spoon in to bowl and serve with a couple of coffe creamers.

you should use as many creamers as you wish for a sweeter flavor.
use molly till the butter flavor you desire is achieved

Porridges' On!

Okay, I hadn't had porridge since I was a kid, and I don't even remember liking it all that much, but tonight I had a craving.

So I just made some porridge a minute ago, with some oats, water, some soya milk and some sugar. I have constructed the stodgiest food known to man, and it cannot be destroyed by conventional weapons.

Anyway I'm eating it now, and it tastes great. I'm full after only a few spoonfuls. However, I have fallen into the porridge trap - I've made far too much, and I know that by the time I get half-way through it'll be going a bit lumpy.

Anyway, I needed to share this with you all. Perhaps you'll take this as inspiration for your own porridge related experiments at home. It'll "keep you regular".

Us assies eat it with brown sugar on it. Yummy yum yum!!

So Porridge is more like oatmeal or is it more like grits? Or, is it like cream of wheat?

Any one of these is considered porridge. Porridge = sweet slops with milk. Think I'll cook up a pot of Wheatena. Yum, yum.

Welcum, that Wheatena sure was good. Added a little milk, and some sweet Jamaican brown sugar, yum, yum.
