My thoughts!
1. Commercials were lame.
2. Half time was lame (minus Bruno)
3. Broncos defense NOT lame
4. Cam was lame...and storming out of the post game interview...lame lame lame! I understand his disappointment (I still wince with 18 and 1) but when you're the MVP of your team you need to man up for 3 minutes and show some respect.
5. Broncos looked damn good, but still not as good as Brady during that ceremony Go ahead and hate, but the man was stylin'. Not surprised with the "boos". People don't like winners.
My husband said to me "Pretty awesome that both Mannings have 2 Super Bowl rings each". I replied "Only took one Brady to win 4!"
Going to be a long off season!
And only one Bradshaw to win 4 first
Yes of course. Sorry, I was referencing "our" (me and hus) generation in football. I wasn't even born for the first two. |

Agreed. I wish he would have handled it without the pouting but in fairness to Cam, Harris was on the other side of the curtain making sure he spoke loud enough for Cam to hear him. That's why Cam decided to walk away rather than take the bait.
He does need to man up but he wasn't the only one acting childish.

I like his game but don't like his sense of entitlement. Respect isn't given,it's earned not just on the field but after the game and off the field. The general consensus is and the way he feels is that he is picked on because of who he is when the truth is its players in the league that don't like his persona that's why the Broncos let him have it. Cam still doesn't get it yet. His press conference today he stated show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser. WTF? Its not about that it's about conducting yourself as a professional when you're one of the faces of the league. Act like an ass everyone will treat you like an ass. Don't laugh at my funk

Not to go off-topic, but I hear that the "sense of entitlement" is a negative attitude that most Millennials have. In the case of Cam Newton, he might have one of the worst cases of it.

Honestly I don't think there will ever be a superbowl match up with so much talent on both sides of the ball as it was with 70's Pittsburgh Steelers and the 70's Dallas Cowboys. |

The talent that once existed in the 70's NFL couldn't play the game the way they played it because of the too many rules in the current NFL that has taken too much fun out of playing defense.

I'm not crazy about the attitudes of so many of these younglings. Do they not get any type of orientation coming into the league?
Cam doesn't understand that you draw negativity with over the top showboating. All you get is people itching to take you down a peg or two/put you in your place, etc. Those folks can't wait to pounce when you get taken down.
He's lucky they haven't started in on him choking and backing away from that fumble yet. If it were me that's what I'd rake him over the coals for.
He's likely going to get some calls from the likes of Dungee, McNabb, etc. If he has a lick of sense he'll humble himself and listen to them and not be a little shit like RGIII was when they tried to talk to him. I'm sure Cam don't wanna end up like him.

I agree. Free agency has made it difficult for most NFL teams to have a championship dynasty.

Here's the problem with that. Defenders all year had to stand feet away from Cam while he dabbed and danced and showboated after every touchdown and first down.
Then the dogs on defense had their day and Cam wasn't man enough to listen to them woof.
Not a good look for the man who still could be the Magic of the NFL.

Yep. I don't mind the TD celebrations from Cam but it's gone from his signature superman pose to dabbing on the sidelines and taking team photos on the sideline while the game is still in play. Well Cam got his ass handed to him Sunday and he couldn't face the music. Then the biggest turnoff he is a grown ass man sitting at a press conference pouting like a 5 year old then he follows it up the next day defiant as ever like it's all about him. I'm supposed to defend that? He admitted to being a sore loser. Now is that the lesson you wanna convey to the kids you give footballs too. It's some fans in Charlotte that was put off by his behavior, then it's some that defend him like he is untouchable. If the guy doesn't lighten up the attitude a bit those parents that spend their hard earn money to buy his jersey for their kids will stop. Don't laugh at my funk

For me, football season starts next month, when the free agency period begins. Giants have to rebuild the defense, o-line and wide receiver group. They can't count on Cruz. |

Not a deep free agent pool in O-Line or WR but there are some good prospects in the draft.
But FAs like Eric Weddle may be available in the secondary.
