Panthers had no answer for Von Miller, but they had chances to take over this game. Penalties, fumbles, a missed FG.....can't do that shit and expect to win. |

Come on. He probably just froze up and by the time he knew what was going on it was too late. As one of the commentators said tonight, the game of football is MUCH faster on the field than it ever appears to be on TV. Those guys move FAST and TV doesn't really capture it all the time. Trolls be gone! |

Absolutely. I bet the next time they are fortunate enough to be in the Super Bowl against a sorry ass quarterback who is a shell of himself, they'll take preparing for the game a little bit more seriously.

1. Great defensive game by Denver
2. Peyton Manning's arm is spaghetti but he is a winner
3. Von Miller is a beast
4. Cam Newton is good but not great
5. I feel good for Wade Phillips, Gary Kubiak and the other 35 former Houston Texans on the Broncos
6. Lady Gaga was OK
7. I missed the halftime performance and don't feel bad about it
8. The only commercials I really liked were: (1) the Doritos ultrasound baby; (2) the Audi astronaut (my favorite); and (3) the Prius bankrobbers
9. The Amy Shumer/Seth Rogen Bud Light commercial was only further proof that neither of those two are funny. Gah, what a bomb that commercial was
10. Did Budweiser have a Clydesdale commercial? If so, I missed it |

BTW - could anyone else hear the #%^&^$# fan that was screaming "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" every time the Broncos ran an offensive play?
He was just loud enough for me to hear. Man, was he annoying. I can't believe the NFL and/or CBS didn't take that guy out. Or that the CBS sound crew couldn't figure out a way to muffle his crap.

The Panthers never saw a Defense like the Broncos D all season long until yesterday!!!
And once again all the critics and sports commentators not giving the Broncos any chance of winning this game. Always such a treat to prove everyone wrong!

I can't name another player on the Panthers that hasn't been taught/drilled with the instinct to get possession of a loose football at ANY cost.
Cam stepped back.
That ain't ever gonna fly and his teammates will agree. |

Neither of those two have ever made me laugh. Especially not Rogen. I think he's a likeable character actor, but I just don't think he's funny. I don't want to go offrails here, but we don't have a Super Bowl commercials thread, do we?

I'm glad the Broncos won. Cam needed a dose of humble pie. Let's see if it will fuel him to become better. Sorry but I didn't like how he handled the press conference. Von Miller and Denver's defense was beasting on Cam. Yes Peyton its time to hang em up. Denver's defense literally carried him. There won't be no dabbing or a parade in Charlotte this year. I like Cam, but he has some growing up to do. If you're going to style and profile, call yourself Superman and dance when you win, you have to man-up when you lose. |

He certainly made a mistake but it didn't help his mental state any when he could hear one of the Bronco players on the other side of the curtain at another press conference, telling everyone how the Broncos knew Cam Newton couldn't throw on them. Kind of hard to answer questions when you can hear someone dogging you behind a curtain, but still Newton could have done better.
But you know what? That's really not a bad attitude to have when you lose the Super Bowl. I think I would WANT my guys to be like, "F this. We just lost the biggest game of our lives and I am super P.O.'ed. F the world, man". I really don't have a problem with that.

The defensive lines for both teams dominated the game. Both D-Lines were able to stuff the run, collapse the pocket and generate heat on the edges.
Hell, Von Miller probably wasn't even the best player in the game -- Kony Ealy had 3 sacks, a one-handed pick in zone blitz coverage w/a nice return.
Carolina's D played well enough to win. Carolina's offensive line got beat from tackle to tackle. Their WR corps was taken out of the game once Denver put their best corners on Olsen. Carolina didn't make any adjustments.

My thoughts!
1. Commercials were lame.
2. Half time was lame (minus Bruno)
3. Broncos defense NOT lame
4. Cam was lame...and storming out of the post game interview...lame lame lame! I understand his disappointment (I still wince with 18 and 1) but when you're the MVP of your team you need to man up for 3 minutes and show some respect.
5. Broncos looked damn good, but still not as good as Brady during that ceremony Go ahead and hate, but the man was stylin'. Not surprised with the "boos". People don't like winners.
My husband said to me "Pretty awesome that both Mannings have 2 Super Bowl rings each". I replied "Only took one Brady to win 4!"
Going to be a long off season!
