"Blatt Goes Splat!"

...would be the headline if he coached in New York.

At least the Cavs' new interim head coach Tyronn Lue does have championship experience. He won 2 NBA Final Championships during the Shaq & Kobe era Los Angeles Lakers. And Tyronn did have Phil Jackson for a head coach.

That ass-whippin' by the Warriors set off alarm bells in the Cavs' front office. Golden State whipped Cleveland the way my daddy whipped me back in the

day.....damn. No excuse for the Cavs this time.

Does anyone besides me feel the Cavs would have been better off long term with Wiggins? Kevin Love is not a good fit for that team. He's not being used the right way.

Natural reaction to overreact after one game. The Warriors not only buried the Cavs on the

road this week they buried the Bulls as well. A lot of basketball left.

Blatt was a walking duck from the minute he was hired. He was a coach with no NBA ties.

Definitely - Love has been relegated to a role player, much more of a catch-and-shoot guy without the passing flair he showed in his last season in Minny.

The Blatt firing is very strange timing indeed - will be interesting to see how the Cavs respond.

Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

Blatt can't defend the 3 or run the floor. Blatt had his issues but the deficiencies are in this roster and it's too late to fix them this year. At best, CLE has a puncher's chance of beating the Spurs or Warriors. They better pray someone else can knock both of them off.

Regardless of whether Lebron knew about Blatt getting fired or not, this was done for his benefit. Nevertheless, it was rather revealing how Golden State beat the living crap out of both the Cavs and the Bulls on the road in successive games, and while it may be too much to read into a couple of games in the middle of the season, it does show that whoever comes out of the Eastern Conference has an uphill battle to win the NBA title, especially if they are facing Golden State, but probably true if they face San Antonio or OKC.

Exactly. Cavs aren't utilizing Love skills to the fullest.

What happened to Blatt is nothing new - Magic Johnson/Paul Westhead, the entire Celtic team/Bill Fitch, Patrick Ewing/Don Nelson, and didn't Jordan have issues with Doug Collins?

If the superstars don't respect the coach and buy into his program, coach is finished. Ewing bought into Riley and Van Gundy - Don Nelson didn't last the season.

Barring injury, Warriors or Spurs will win the title. Clippers and Thunder are still a notch below.

Actually, it was Don Nelson's public fallout with John Starks is what got Don fired from the NY Knicks.

Warriors aren't fucking around. They are serving notice to the rest of the league. Seems like they want to surpass the 1995-96 Bulls.

In other NBA news, Blake Griffin broke his hand in an undisclosed team incident.
