Yeah, strange that LeBron is already #3 according to ESPN. I think he's knocking on the door of #5, but not quite there. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

There ia nothing I can see that would make me take LeBron over Bird, Shaq, Duncan, Russell, Magic, Wilt let alone Kareem and MJ. Too me, those are non-debatable. Hell, it's still debatable of LeBron over Kobe, West, Oscar, Hakeem. PRINCE: Always and Forever

I have LeBron over Bird but behind Duncan. Bird was a phenom for sure, but he wasn't that durable and had his fair share of playoff letdowns like LeBron. It's very close, but I have LeBron at 8 on my all-time list and Bird at 9. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! As for Duncan vs. LeBron, their team results in the Finals mean nothing to me. Exactly no one thought Cleveland stood a chance in 2007. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

Playoff letdowns? He'd lose in the Finals to Lakers or an all time great Sixers teams with Doc and Moses. Brons letdowns are not showing up in various games vs Dallas, giving up vs Boston in 10 and losing to a Dwight Howard led Magic team. PRINCE: Always and Forever

When they loss to the Magic with Dwight Howard the Magic were actually the better team despite the records. Don't laugh at my funk

True. With that said I definitely wouldn't rank him over Bird or Magic. One can make the case that Magic could be number 2 on that list. With all due respect to Kareem, the Lakers weren't seeing any titles without Magic. Remember the Seattle Supersonics were kings of the Western Conference but with the stroke of the 79 draft Magic changed all that. He was the most dynamic rookie I've ever seen come in the league and dominate. I don't think any other player in league history could come in and accomplish what Magic did. Without Magic the Lakers would have continued to be bridesmaids to the Supersonics. Don't laugh at my funk

You're telling me a top 3 player of ALL-TIME at his peak can't take out a Dwight Howard led team, lol. That was his shot to face Kobe and the Lakers in the Finals and he blew it. PRINCE: Always and Forever

To be fair to Kareem, that team was pretty young and they were regular playoff attendents. Magic just took them to the next level. They still had young guys in Jamaal Wilkes, Norm Nixon and Michael Cooper all coming into their own. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Wilt Jordan Russell Oscar Kareem Magic Bird Hakeem West Duncan
That's my top 10. Shaq, Lebron, Kobe, Moses, Dr. J are in my next 10.

Kareem doesn't get his due, IMO. Look at his entire career, from high school to college to the pros. He's the greatest college baller of all time, changed the face of college basketball and won his six NBA titles before Jordan did. He had an incredible career - best player to come out of NYC.

But so does Bird (and "Tragic" Johnson, etc.). Heck, Bird got in a fight one year and hurt his hand when they had homecourt. Just about all players have bad games/series. These guys aren't immune from that. Of course, these guys ok the balance are great playoff performers. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! He put up numbers here but he wasn't around when it counted. Cavs lost two games by 1 point and 2 points. Makes me think down the stretch he was a no-show. Only game I remember from that series is game 2 when Bron hit a buzzer beater to beat Magic by one. PRINCE: Always and Forever

They are. I have Magic at 5 and Bird at 9 on my all-time list. My point is that LeBron has an argument to be discussed with them, and that highlighting his shortcomings while failing to highlight the shortcomings of Magic and Bird is disingenuous. I saw all of these guys when they were at their best. I don't think it's unreasonable for someone to put LeBron over them, nor do I think it is unreasonable to put those guys over LeBron. I never stated that Kareem wasn't a great player. We all know he was a great player. Like i said before they were bridesmaids to the Supersonics before Magic arrived plain and simply put. Magic elevated the whole Laker squad when he arrived. Whan he got hurt in the 89 Finals in the second game against the Pistons the Lakers knew the series was over. Also getting hurt in his second season pretty much spelled doom for the Lakers that season as far as them returning to the Finals that season. Don't laugh at my funk
