Be honest...do you think 30 is too old to go back to school Honestly, I think thats still kind of young. Anybody under 40-50 could be young enough to go back to school.

If you have the desire to learn and the time and resources to pursue that learning, no age is too old. I was in a graduate program with a fellow pushing 90. He often talked about how illuminating it was to learn things from us younger folks, and he, in turn, was a tremendous resource to us. [Edited 3/14/15 9:41am] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

My opinion? You're never too old to stop moving forward until you're dead. That goes for everything. If you have the means, the desire and the drive then do it, regardless of other people's opinion.

Not at all. "No one's too old for knowledge and education in fact if you're too worried if others think you're too old for something, your problem is that you're still too young and immature, not the opposite." (says my grandmother, in her 80's and she attends community center Chinese class once a week... ) People live up to 90, 100yrs old these days, 30 is merely 1/3 of your life and how is that "too old" for anything?! Ex-Moderator | I'm hard pressed to say you're ever too old to do anything. Do what you like.

I see older people in the news all of the time getting their degrees. 60, 70, 80 year olds..I think that's fantastic. Nothing wrong with wanting to expand your education.

I'm in school.....and I'm over 30. I find I enjoy it much more now than I did when I was in my 20's. Finally got those priorities straight.

Until there's a law prohibiting people over a certain age to go to school, you can do whatever you want to do.

I was 32 when I went back to finish my undergrad degree, and it's always been a dream of mine to go to law school when I retire. (Not because I have any burning desire to practice law - just for the mental exercise.) We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I was 42 when I graduated with my master's degree. I had a great-aunt that died at 76, she was enrolled in college at the time to get her librarian degree. She actually had 8 degrees. She told me that life is about learning all that we can and making the world a better place from what we have learned. She was a true activist, too. She never married and always wore a rainbow pin. I didn't know what that meant until I was much older. I called her my rainbow aunt, because she was truly the most colorful person I'd ever met and I felt the rainbow truly fit who she was. So no, 30 is not too old to go back to school.

You're too old to date and go partying with your classmates, but I think at 30 you have a much clearer idea of what you want in a career path, than at 18. [Edited 3/19/15 12:48pm]

As long as "go for it" doesn't mean partying and dating your classmates!
