Not African American, Afro American, Negro or colored... but simply... black, I can't stand polictically correctness (if that's a word) ...

Black/negro is race...african american is nationality...I can be black from South Africa but not african american... the use of Negro and colored were not about being politically correct.

In 300 years I have been progressed, from a Coon, to Nigra, to Nigger, to Negro, to Colored, to Black, and now you have placed me at my final destination, African American, now which one is the most appropriate one to check for race or might I check all, cause according to you,(society) over 300 years, my race has been all of the above.

I'm black simple and plain, not African American nor negro woman. Both of my parents are black Arabic(Non-Americans) and when I was young, teachers used 2 label me as an "African American" young lady which I don't have a problem with(unlike my parents who get offended when they been called AAs instead of blacks), but when they ask me about my nationality "What are you?" I'd say 2 them "Black Arabic" and they'd look at me like "HUH? " lol I'd tell them that I'm half-Somalian and half-morrocon and they'd still look at me like "HUH? " lol whats so complicated??
