NBA Thread: Mid-season edition

It's been an exciting and unpredictable season so far. My beloved Portland is looking quite good, though I'm not entirely convinced they'll stay among the top 4 in the brutal West. I'm hoping they call take the division, though, and at least have a top 4 seed!

Everything seems so wide open - Cleveland have struggled, you never know whether Rose and Noah will stay healthy enough for Chicago to contend, so Toronto, Atlanta and Washington have emerged as contenders in the East, and injuries to Durant and Westbrook have derailed OKC while the Spurs are basking in the afterglow of a championship but dealing with injuries and a slow start themselves, making way for Golden State, Portland, Memphis, and Houston.

Even the MVP race seems wide open. Who would it be at this point? Stephen Curry? James Harden? Kyle Lowry? Marc Gasol? Damian Lillard or LaMarcus Aldridge? John Wall? Can LeBron turn it around? How about Russell Westbrook or Kevin Durant if they manage a top 4 seed?

Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

The NBA champs are coming from the Western Conference again this season IMO, the East ain't ready!

At this point I'd pick Curry as the MVP, let's see if he and his Warriors can keep up this pace all season

I'm really impressed with how Atlanta's playing, especially Teague and Korver.

Knicks should stop fucking around and just shut Carmelo down the rest of the season - it's over already.

I'm holding out for the Raptors. They've played great so far so my hope is that they make it further in the playoffs this year. I know they won't win the championship but they sure are playing like champs which is a beautiful thing to watch. Kyle Lowry has been awesome and the bench has played great too. We've been playing without our star Demar DeRozen for several weeks and we're still playing better than most teams.

Go Raptors!!

I like what I'm seeing from the Bucks. They're loaded with young talent, and they play hard. Kidd knew what he was doing.

He doesn't. Dude's EGO is bigger than Mount Rushmore. He thinks he is Kevin Durant.
