Drugs: Remember NBA Player Richard Dumas? This guy would have been a very good NBA player, if u he could have stayed away from drugs. What a waste.
Former Phoenix Suns forward pleads guilty to burglaryA former Phoenix Suns player pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary Thursday morning in Maricopa County Superior Court. Richard Dumas, a former forward with the team, was accused of stealing just less than $800 worth of items from Luke Air Force Base's exchange store in September and October 2012. Police officials said he was working for a janitorial service at the time. Dumas originally faced multiple counts, which ranged from burglary to shoplifting. The majority were dropped in his plea deal as Dumas admitted to two counts of burglary, both amended to low-level felonies. Dumas' arrest was part of a 2013 U.S. Marshals Service initiative that aimed to round up individuals with warrants for various property crimes, including burglary and armed robbery. It was the second year of the program, totaling 151 arrests. The forward helped the Suns reach the NBA finals in 1993, but was later waived by the team in 1995 for missing a drug test. In 1998, Dumas was arrested on cocaine charges. He attempted to play once more in Croatia, but hurt his knee and was unable
