There's this rapper out named ''Aye Verb'' and i got hired to work production on one of his videos last month. It was for a song about bitches and money and blah blah. Any-who he has been doing these interviews recently and he's killing me. This is an interview he did a week after his video was done shooting.

i honestly try to understand the psychology behind guys like this. He seems so bitter, jaded, angry, and Vulgar towards women. Dude seems to have had his heartbroken too many times? he's not an exactly attractive guy honestly. Maybe he thinks this is ''confidence'' since he's been called ugly or fat before.

I don't know... i just found this dude nasty. All his songs talk about sexually assaulting women. Or stealing a ''...s bitch'' and then leaving her the next day. There is misogyny in music no doubt. But this guy is like the walking definition...

Did that mega say "We from St Louis and that's where Ike's from...it's just a part of us"?

Aye Verb is a middling league battle rapper. I'm of the opinion that scene overall has got talent superior to that of mainstream hip hop, but because its players are treated as somewhat second-tier, there is major overcompensatory posing in order to grasp at street cred. I don't doubt Aye Verb is a full-on mysogynist at his core, but I suspect most of what we see here is performance for the benefit of other men in his milieu. Punk stuff.
