Yes!!! Repeatedly accusing me of attempting to justify an assault, even after I've repeatedly stated I don't think she's at fault at all, and even after I've repeatedly condemned all domestic abuse, ABSOLUTELY is you going after me!! Classic. Textbook. Case.

Me defensive? How many times do I have to say I'm flattered! Really I am, I'd post a blushing emoticon if there was one. In fact you've persuaded me to begin posting here more often. Feel free to go after me in other threads too.

We don't know if the woman was being disingenuous or not, nor to what extent if she was. This guy is obviously not a rational human being so no matter what she did it didn't warrant an assault. A woman wearing skimpy clothing doesn't deserve to be raped. A man dressing and acting like a woman doesn't deserve to be beaten. A teenager blasting loud music doesn't deserve to be shot. Nevertheless, we live in a world where there are sick people who don't require much to set them off. Actions will have consequences and you have to be aware of that-- it's not about fault. Some things you can't foresee but-- going back to this case-- if she flat out lied and knowingly misrepresented herself she could have expected some backlash at least.

Again this doesn't excuse this scumbag but you can't live in this world doing anything you want to do and expect everybody to be ok with it. When you hear cases like this the take away point isn't to assign blame-- it's obviously the man here. Maybe it's a warning to be honest and considerate in everything we do because you just don't know what kind of people you'll encounter.
