NBA fans: Is Kobe OVA or not?

What do u guys think Kobe Bryant will do this season?

I'm of the belief that Kobe has 2 many NBA miles on him.

I think his body will continue 2 break down.

I wish him luck but if he continues 2 play at the pace he played before his injuries..........I see more injuries ahead.

Hard to say. He might have a second wind left to give.

I can't believe the Lakers were dumb enough 2 extend his contract.

Kobe Bryant has 5 NBA championship rings. He will NEVER tie or suppass Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippin, & Kareen Abdul-Jabbar, who have 6 rings each.

I don't think he can be what he was, but that doesn't mean he can't still be a great player.

But if he's OVA, then maybe I can be a Lakers fan again

over. he was good....but im a fan and want another gold ball & net. i dont say cut him loose, cuz hes family and been with us from start, through thick & thin. We need a stronger link though. He's rusty, brittle and seemingly cracked even, at this point. Aint no amount of WD-40 or welding gonna make it trustworthy.

If Kobe pace himself and let his teammates play, he will be fine. Kobe knows in order to play the last couple of years of his contract out; he will have to slow his game and still be effective. After all he is the Black Mamba.

The money he received was the organization's gratitude for years of COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE, and yes he earned every cent of those millions. He has absolutely nothing 2 prove n this game.

I have nothing but the utmost respect 4 his work ethic and the Buss Family saw it from the very beginning. He’s a winner.

I truly hope he gets that last championship b4 retirement.

Team Kobe thumbs up!

As Phil says, he trains fanatically, but he's been playing nearly 20 years. Father Time is going to continue to play "Four Corners" with Kobe until it's finally over.

That being said . . . with all the mileage, injuries, and yes baggage, Kobe can still be one of the best scorers in the league. Not necessarily THE best, maybe not even top five, but one of the best. He will continue to give effort defensively (though his freelancing has been a maddening habit for many years).

If his career were a Scorcese movie, he'd be nearing the anticlimactic finale.

It's highly unlikely he'll win another title.

The Lakers sealed their fate when they re-signed Kobe to such a big extension. It was a signal to other players that 1) they wouldn't necessarily get max money; and 2) Kobe would have no incentive to "train his successor."
