We love u Maya. Everyone I know calls me Maya Angelou because I write poetry. I only did it because of you. Thank you and kiss the heavens above for me.

It was truly befitting her regalilty. I kept trying not to cry because it was a celebration of a truly remarkable and well-lived life but when her son read the poem about his Super Nova, I completely lost it.

Agreed, it was very dignified. I didn't tear up till Valerie Simpson started playing Remember Me. I haven't heard that song in ages.
