Well the 3 minutes they showed before he got booted was really boring. Maybe he tried to liven it up after bombing in such a short segment. Arsenio says "Mooney's Club.. A new segment!" which made me laugh the most, because I highly doubt Paul will be back.

Big fan of Paul though. Did you read his book?

Paul Mooney is known for being offensive. His comedy is cutting and overtly offensive. This material doesn't surprise me. I think most of the nation doesn't know who he is, is not used to his humor, and get offended. It's what he does, he hurts feelings.

Paul Moony was never appropriate for mainstream television...

I'm honestly not seeing the deal here. it was typical Mooney he seemed a little out of it. And his jokes aren't his funny or punchy as usual. But this is what he does... i don't know how he went ape shit

Paul Mooney is 72 years old and has made a pretty decent living for himself - while publicly saying N*gga - any time he felt like it. The audience may not have known of him nor been prepared for what his shtick is like but Arsenio KNEW damn well how it is! This had better not been Arsenio's idea of stirring up a little controversy in a desperate attempt to boost his ratings, I know that much!

Paul Mooney is and always will be "The Godfather of Comedy"...Yes he is offensive but so is every Comic that says shit about all races and celebs. They all get up on stage and Trash their fellow Entertainers and they heckle their patrons. Nobody complains and people keep going to their Comedy Concerts...This is OLD news folks. I didnt see the Arsenio incident but when you're in another man's House you gotta show Respect & act like you got some sense. If Arsenio threw him off the show then I'm sure it was very serious and had nothing to do with comedy...Paul wrote for King Richard Pryor...Enough said....

it seems at times there is a very fine line separating comedic performance art from rude behavior. sometimes what was intended is not what is perceived by the audience. i think to some extent, we've become so politically correct that almost anything can be regarded as 'off limits'. then again, some folks really need those guidelines.

There was absolute nothing wrong with Paul's belief stand-up. Face it 2freaky, I think you're losing you edge quite a lot. Your rants are pretty weak this week.

The funny thing is, most of the audience was very "MEH" about Obama. People have already learned that having a hopeful black president can't fix everything.

Yeah I remember that too. Mooney's routine has always been offensive and meant to ruffle folks feathers...nothing new there, but surprised that he went back on his word though.

Paul looks like he may have had a stroke. His speech was slurred. I like Paul he is FEARLESS!.

I remember I met him at the post office in Hollywood. He is a living legend and a ghost writer for for a few 70's sitcoms like "Good Times" & "Sanford & Son"...He created the character "Homie The Clown on "In Living Color....

I think Paul Mooney intentionally was quiet after he cracked that joke about Arsenio and white women. It was intended to be a cheapshot in the form of a joke. I've never heard any rumors about Arsenio that involve dating black women, so that's why PM said what he did (I assume).
