• Patti LaBelle regrets her past cosmetic surgery, insisting she'd like to go back in time and tell her younger self not to touch her nose.

• The singer admits she went under the knife because she felt her nose was too big.

  She tells "Access Hollywood," "I would tell my younger self not to have problems with the way I looked ... not to worry about that nose. I had a bigger nose, so I had a nose job -- that's the only surgery I've ever had on my face or my body. I was beating up myself for the way my nose looked and my nose was fine before I changed it, but it was my way of thinking that once I got on TV it's gonna look bigger.

"I would have said, 'Patti, back in the day you shouldn't have touched your nose. Be yourself.'"

I really cant tell much of a difference, its not like she Lil Kimmed herself.

I love Ms. Patti but umm she needed the nose job. Besides I don't see much harm in it being that, that is the only body part she's had work on. She still looks herself post surgery so I don't think it's that big of a deal. It's when you get to be an unrecognizably human sized cat that it becomes a problem.

Me too,

Patti's nose was fine before the surgery, and it's nice to see her suggest as much in retrospect.

unfortunantly we live in a society that makes many people fear their ethnicity and their related charactaristics. perhaps they feel they would not be accepted in the world of etertainment if they turned away from euro-nizing their looks.

it's a sad state when women (and men) think looking more like the ladies at the top of the totem pole of beauty (aka: caucasoid features) and media popularity is today's norm, and it does not include the women of color.

There's a YouTube vid of Patti on Merv Griffin in 1981, before the nose job...Her nose was fine and she said in her book that no one told her NOT to do it....In her book she said that Stephanie Mills paid her a visit in Philly and when she saw Stephanie's new nose she felt it was confirmation...

Looking back now, it is interesting to think that 2 SUPER talented Sistas like Patti & Stephanie didnt feel their Talent was enough to win people over..They have always been comfortable performing on stage but both Women had issues with their appearance...I don't knock anyone that chooses Plastic surgery cuz that type of surgery is very personal and if it makes you feel better about your appearance then go ahead...I would like to have an O.J. Simpson nose...I don't want his Legacy I just like the Dude's nose...His Nose would fit my Face...See, we're never happy with what we got..

She has had a chemical skin peal. Which is nothing unusual. Most every woman has had it done in the entertainment industry. I think she looks MAGNIFICENT!!! She DEFINITELY made the right decision with both. It improved her looks 100%. No matter what she claims now.
