Michael Sam had a reality show deal in the works before he got drafted on the Own network. His teammates and team officials aren't thrilled with it. He stated that he just wanted to play football. This reality show doesn't help his case. He better get down to the business of playing football because Jeff Fisher is a no nonsense coach.

Exactly. Fuck the stupid reality show - make the damn team first. |

Exactly . . . make the damn team first.
As I see it, he's being just as businesslike as the NFL.
7th Rounders are by no means a lock to make the cut to 53.
He's signed this deal as either a one-off to soften the blow of unemployment in 4 months OR building a profile for marketing himself once he makes the team.
I get the sentiment, but he knows it's going to be tough and he's hedging his bets. Blame him if he doesn't make the team but I don't blame him for signing on with OWN. He'll OWN the results, one way or the other.

Johnny Football's getting crap from some of the talkies at the NFL network for being a celebrity QB. Some of these critics need to get a life. |

I think he's being mishandled by the organization. They come off as insecure; if they didn't feel like he fit their culture they shouldn't have drafted him.
Even if I don't like a lot of the stuff Manziel's pulled, he's enjoying his life like most pro athletes do. Anyway, he can make more money now being a celebrity than a QB. And if he actually turns out to be good, that's fine, but his main source of income right now is endorsements.

The Browns are full of shit. Believe me, they're loving this. Manziel's doing for them what Lebron did for the Cavs - making them relevant. Before the draft, when was the last time anyone paid any attention to Cleveland |

The media made a big deal about them when they drafted Brady Quin, then reality kicked in. |

Yeah, the Browns get alot of attention during the draft because most of the time they have high draft picks because they are shitty. Then they get these players and nothing really changes. |
