In a perfect world people would all be heterosexual as God made us nod

What a sad, sad statement. sad

I am religious, but open minded to the world today, God made Adam and Eve, NOT Adam and Steve...

mr.green

Anyway, you edited what I said afterwards!!! mad

spank

The fact that you said it at all is what bothers me. Why the world would be perfect if we were all hetero?
That's alright. You can continue to think you have an open mind. Since your back-up argument relies on religious dogma, there's no debating the matter anyway.

Yeah, religion may come into it as are also science and nature CarrieMpls...I am not so a naiive and narrow minded, I am just being factual and realistic...We are opening a whole new subject here but if God, Mother Nature, Science, whoever intended us to be gay, how could we possibly pro-create and be where we are today? huh? If we were all to be gay, bi-sexual and heterosexual wouldnt we be made like seahorses and could conceive on our own???

There wasnt the science back then..so we wouldnt be alive now...the world would have ceased billions of years ago

Sex isnt just for procreation, its also a way of loving someone. The world is already overpopulated, but many will argue that theres not enough love goin around. Hence us homosexuals! wink

There's no such thing AS bi-sexual people perhaps, but not OF.

Then again, if you meant "there's no such thing as a VAT OF bi-sexual people"...then you'd be right. Probably.

If this isn't the most idiotic topic I have ever seen...where in the world do you get off saying that a person cannot enjoy the company and pleasures of both sexes?? This is just stupid!!! Digital...I never thought you could be narrow-minded...but...

bi sexual people are people wh are afraid to admit they are all the way gay.

wel if they were all the way gay why would they have sex with a girl then.

i still can't believe that in 2003 there are stil people having problems with sexual choises.

i'm a 32 guy with a wonderfull relation with a great woman.
i'm straight.
but when i was a young and free boy.i explored all sexual posebility's.
its the only way 2 get to know yourself.
how can u say u don't like choclate if u didn't taste it first.
and if people are bi-sexual whats the problem then.
they have more people to love .
woekie woekie!!!

But you see, you know even though that person is with you, he or she is still going to desire something else in the back of their mind, man I would be soo hurt if I ever came home and found my man in a bed with another man... I mean Lord Jevus that's worst then finding him in bed with another another woman. They're both wrong but I'm saying it's just the principal lol

But that's soo not the case with my friend. You're misunderstanding me. It's just like if you or I were dating a guy and we weren't happy with them, we'd find another guy, right? Well she just dates people, men or women and if she connects then she has a relationship with them...ya know what I mean??? It's the person she's attracted to, not necessarily the gender of the person...

gender edit, doh!

That's very well said, Carrie. I find that when I was trying to understand my friend's bi sexuality that was the easiest way to start. smile

I believe that sexuality is a rather broad spectrum, and different people fall into different areas of the spectrum. That is how you can have people who may be straight, but occasionally dabble with bi-sexuality. It is also how you can have completely straight men, who love to wear women's clothes. Sexuality doesn't fall into two neat little compartments. So many factors make up a person's sexual identity: biological, sociological and psychological.

In western society today, women are allowed quite a bit of freedom when it comes to the expression of affection. Women hugging, kissing and holding hands are all considered "normal" by the cultural standard of today. This is probably why "bi-sexuality" is more commonplace among women (and women who are tend to stay "bi-sexual"). Since men have more sociological obstructions, bi-sexuality is the rarity. Men who have feelings for other men tend to only use bi-sexuality as a transition to full-on homosexuality. It is simply not accepted, among either straight or gay men, for males to indulge themselves in both sexes. The sociological ostracising that men feel usually leads them to adopt one lifestyle or another. The men may honestly be attracted to both sexes, but they will only allow themselves to have relations with the sex that they prefer, for the simple reason that they don't want to be cast out socially.

It may be hard for those of us with a clear sexual identity, whether gay or straight, to understand. Sexuality is incredibly complex, and no two people are entirely alike. Are there people who only use bi-sexuality as a tool to indulge in a form of hedonism? Absolutely! This hardly means that this is the case with ALL bi-sexuals.
