Anyone else around the world experiencing this?

I've noticed more and more people in London wearing leg warmers over their pop socks. The 80s is on it's way back. I don't know if it really went away.

Anyone else experiencing an 80s revival?

It's been on its way back, and some of it scares me. It did go away, especially in the 90's, but that's with any decade change. The fashions of the previous decade are laughed at, people say "What the hell was I thinking when I wore that", etc. but then 20 years after it was popular, it comes back again.

There was a HUGE 80'S revival on the runwats about 2 seasons back...complete with big hair, batwing sleeves and leg warmers staight out of flashdance. Perhaps it is trickling down into street fashion right now? Also check the popularity of those louis vuitton/stephen sprouse graffiti bags...even K-Mart is making knockoffs smile

Pretty much everything I see in stores now is 80's influenced. Especially the tapered, balloon-ey, style pants. But now it's very cargo, army-style clothes this season. So it's tapered cargo pants. Remember parachute pants? Kind of like that.

I wonder if all this military influenced clothing goes hand-in-hand with the impending war? lol I always think that when I am shopping. Well, at least the general public will be dressed for it. err

You've been wandering around White Hart Lane too much. They still sport Waddle and Hoddle haircuts, and carry around copies of 'Diamond Lights' in the vain nostalgic hope that it will bring back the good old days.

Wasn't it written after foretelling Glen's words regarding the England managerial post as he read Matt Dickinson's interview with him in The Times one fateful morning; or maybe it was what Tezza said to Sugar when they last exchanged polite words; no - it was Gazza's epitaph as he was carried off the Wembley turf after a disgraceful tackle?

smile

That's right, 'It's Goodbye'

No, but I did think Diamond Lights was quite a catchy single, honestly!

I thought Glen was quite cool on TOTP but Chrissy's dancing was awful.

I've heard alot about this 80's revival, and I've seen some "neon" on the cat walk (watching the E! channel) but can't say I've seen any legwarmers! thank god! I love the 80's and can't wait for some of this revival but legwarmers are not one of them! LOL I hope tapered leg pants come back in style, and pointy heeled boots (no more chunky heels) and off the shoulder sweatshirts! lol

They are. I do have pointy heeled boots myself, and the off the shoulder thing is something I see a lot of here in Europe. Also the tapered pants. They're in every store window. But I have yet to see anyone actually wearing it.

Uh, yeah, hello! There has been an 80s revival going on for at least 6 months. It's pretty funny.

I was too young to. . .eh. . .'appreciate' the 80s the first time, so I'm kind of enjoying it. smile
