falloff I had to pause the video twice because I was dying laughing. Samuel L. was right to give the guy a hard time. Like really? How can you get Laurence Fishburne and Samuel L. Jackson confused? confuse That's just all sorts of wrong....two completely different actors and acting styles.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Samuel L. Jackson is the one who was confused. The reporter was right - Jackson was in a commercial for Captain America during the Super Bowl, which he conveniently forgot.

New Super Bowl Trailer Fo...ER SOLDIER

Probably the most exciting thing to happen during yesterday's Superbowl game if you're a Broncos fan was the CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER trailer commercial. And we've got it here for you as well.

So if you missed it - check it out!

Here's the storyline for the movie:
After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier.

Based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941, Marvel's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is produced by Kevin Feige, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, and stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp and Hayley Atwell, with Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is presented by Marvel Studios. The executive producers are Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo, Alan Fine and Stan Lee. The film releases March 26, 2014 in the UK and Ireland, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER opens on April 4 in glorious 3D.

the sad thing, imo, is that jackson's misplaced rant makes him look like a racist hater. imo he should have REMEMBERED that he was in a superbowl ad instead of jumping down the reporter's throat over a misunderstanding "what superbowl ad?" doh!

I indicated to Samuel that I'd seen him during the Super Bowl, and he thought that I had confused him with the commercial Laurence Fishburne had done for a car company. Of course a 'Captain America' ad had also run during the Super Bowl --Sam Ruben

I hadn't noticed that Samuel was in any commercial during the superbowl, though I did clearly notice the one with Laurence. Perhaps many others thought the same...shrug

i think a lot of people did notice that jackson's avengers/captain america superbowl ad ran, and wondered why in the heck jackson didn't know this???!!!! jackson better issue an apology or he looks like the biggest fool ever.

mad smile lol okay. granted, he ain't the biggest fool ever. please know i do have great respect for samuel jackson and think he's a great actor and cool dude. and, i guess historically and culturally he has some basis for his rant. it's just, in jumping to conclusions, he ironically became guilty of the very thing he accused the reporter of being: unobservant

Did Sam Bruin mention the Kia commercial? If so, I don't see how he's right? I need a transcript because I definitely didn't wanna hit play to see him get ethered by SLJ. lol

what are you talking about? watch the clip again, notice how the conversation goes south right after the reporter asks jackson about the 'superbowl commercial'

rough transcript:

[reporter reading from teleprompter] "You're working for Marvel, the Superbowl commercial, did you get a lot of reaction to that Superbowl commercial?"

[jackson]"What Superbowl commercial?"

[reporter looking offstasge for cues] "You know what? Uh, I've been mis, uh my mistake, Uh

[jackson]"You know what? You're as crazy as the people on Twitter.."

I get what everyone's saying...but then why didn't the reporter just say..."Oh no, Sam...YOU are mistaken, I MEANT the Avengers commercial" (or whatever ad he was in)...Why did he even apologize if Sam was wrong? shrug lol

usually the on-air personality reading the story isn't the same person who wrote and researched it. looks like the on-air reporter might have not been sure which ad actually did air at the superbowl? i don't know, maybe he was too intimidated. maybe he felt he had already made it clear by opening his remark with the words "You're working for Marvel." poor guy. he's being pilloried for no good reason

Even so, all he had to do was state that. Like "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't write this script so I would have never confused you two"...or simply said, "I'm not sure which ad aired, Sam, but I definitely KNOW who you are!" Not like this doesn't happen all the time with Morgan Freeman, Sam, Arsenio Hall, Chris Tucker, Dave Chappell, etc. It's too common to believe he didn't confuse them for real. lol

And he's not a very good reporter or whatever if he goes on air without researching the subject matter. lol
