For five days now I've had a kind of pain in my throat I've never felt before. It reminds me of tonsillitis, but the location of the pain is slightly different. Since yesterday I even started feeling pain in my right ear.

I try drinking a lot (even if it hurts like a motherfucker), especially tea with lots of honey, and tap water. Took some anti-inflammatory painkillers and other medicine, but it didn't even have the slightest of effects.

What the fuck is this shit?! What can I do?

Can't see the doctor yet, because I have loads of work to do at home. But I need to get fit as soon as possible, 'cause I need to be on-stage next week again.

Any tips?

LISTEN TO ME

JUST LISTEN TO ME (IGNORE THE OTHER POSTS)

I EXACTLY HAD THE SAME THING DURING THE FIRST HALF OF JANUARY hug

YOU MUST GO TO THE DOCTOR, BECAUSE YOU NEED ANTIOBIOTICS

FORGET THE CONVENTIONAL/MAINSTREAM MEDICINE FOR A COMMON FLU

THIS AIN'T A COMMON FLU

THIS SHIT IS SERIOUS, IF YOU ALREADY ARE FEELING PAIN IN YOUR EAR THAT'S BECAUSE THE BACTERIAL INFECTION IS ALREADY DEVELOPING AN INTERNAL OTITIS (SAME SHIT HAPPENED TO ME, I ALSO DEVELOPED A NASTY SINUSITIS- TERRIBLE PAIN BEHIND THE EYES-NOSE-LOWER FOREHEAD-DISGUSTING ORANGE-DARK GREEN MUCUS eek )

YOUMUST VISIT THE DOCTOR BECAUSE NEED ANTIOBIOTICS, TRUST ME

YOU MUST GO TO THE DOCTOR

GOOD LUCK IF YOU DON'T, BECAUSE YOU WON'T BE FIT confused

Just came back from the doc; had to sit there waiting for two fucking hours, surrounded by people who looked like the Knutsns out of The Big Lebowski.

It's some kind of bad infection, but thankfully not strep. Got antibiotics, lots of painkillers and salvia tea.

I also thought it could be gonorrhea of the throat, but I'm glad u went to the doc

YOU DID THE RIGHT THING

2 hours of boredom waiting for your turn is a lot better than suffering a nasty 2-month bacterial infection, unless you wanna experience how it is like being ill in the middle ages LOL

Make sure you take some probiotics along with your stint of antibiotics. Antis can really screw up your system (intestinal flora) big time. Be sure to leave a couple hours in between when you're taking pros & antis cuz otherwise the antis will just kill off the pros if you take them too close together. Antis kill good bacteria and bad bacteria so it's important to replenish the good. Then, when you're done with your antis, keep on the pros (at least for awhile) until your flora is balanced again. You'll recover much faster if you do the probiotics. Get well soon! cool

Health comes first. You can replace your car and other stuff, but there is only one you that cannot be replaced. It takes about 48 hours for antibotics to kick in. Get lots of rest.

more like 3-4 days to feel a major improvement and 10-12 for a complete recovery
