She was married to Arthur Miller. I really doubt she wasn't smart. She probably had more brains than most women and all men.

Prince I will always miss and love U.

You're dreaming!

Smart men, foolish choices. She treated Miller like shit. Be sure to read the article I just posted a couple posts ago as well. She was a mixed up kook. Serious issues. Total narcissist & probably a sociopath. Her own psychoanalyst dropped her (read about it in the article). Sorry, I don't find people like Marilyn appealing in the least.

*

Here's review from someone at Amazon (of a Marilyn book) that I thought was insightful:

*

"Sociopaths only care about fulfilling their own needs and desires - selfishness and egocentricity to the extreme. Everything and everybody else is mentally twisted around in their minds as objects to be used in fulfilling their own needs and desires. They often believe they are doing something good for society, or at least nothing that bad. The term 'sociopath' is frequently used by psychologists and sociologists alike in referring to persons whose unsocialized character is due primarily to parental failures (usually fatherlessness) rather than an inherent feature of temperament. Lykken (1995), . . . there are at least four (4) different subtypes -- common, alienated, aggressive, and dyssocial. Commons are characterized mostly by their lack of conscience; the alienated by their inability to love or be loved; aggressives by a consistent sadistic streak; and dyssocials by an ability to abide by gang rules, as long as those rules are the wrong rules. As Stout (2005) indicates, it only takes three of the following to be defined as a sociopath, and some common sociopathic traits include:
*
List of Common Sociopathic Traits
*
Egocentricity; Callousness; Impulsivity; Conscience defect; Exaggerated sexuality; Excessive boasting; Risk taking; Inability to resist temptation; Antagonistic, deprecating attitude toward the opposite sex; Lack of interest in bonding with a mate"
*
That's a textbook definition of sociopathy I got of some college website.
*
If Monroe wasn't a sociopath I don't know who is.
*
Although I have not read that much about her and I didn't know her but in what I've read I've read between the lines. Her notorious lateness was a blatant disregard for others. She used every single person around her and cast them off when she was finished. She slept with anyone she thought could help her - male or female. She was self involved, hedonistic, exhibitionistic, promiscuous, irresponsible, self obsesses and displayed an overall and general disregard for others. She shut down movie sets, didn't show up for shoots, didn't live up to contracts and only showed regard for people who could further her in some way or another. It was known widely among people who knew her that she was filthy. Her fingernails were dirty, she smelled, she was known to take to bed and lay in her own filth for days - classic sociopathy.
*
She was a faithless wife, a manipulator and generally not the sort of person you would want in your life. Observors of instances between Miller and Monroe cited examples of her she-devil behavior in that she took pleasure in humiliating Miller in the presence of others and did it regularly. His portrayal of Maggie in "After the Fall" confirms this.
*
Although Monroe is all but cannonized now, she had many enemies in the industry when she was alive - many people downright despised her. She was alone her whole life for a reason and she died alone.
*
Frankly, I'm not knocking it beleive it or not. Nobody's perfect. She was a fascinating woman. I accept people for who they are and prefer sinners over saints. I'm attracted to the gritter side of life and the grittier people and I'm still fascinated and awed by her because she had a quality that will never be seen again. Her life and times makes her facsinating and she is a compelling woman. But she was a sociopath at worst and at the least, had borderline personality disorder.

you will understand, when i say this, that i mean you no harm...

THIS IS A WEBSITE DEDICATED TO A MIDGET THAT USE TO BE COOL!!!

prince, i believe his name is/was/whuteva.

and i find it hard to believe that you wouldn't

understand the cultism in the very nature of this site.

kinda why i don't get the whole discussions about personal issues and

the doling out of medical/psychological/personal relationship advice.

given the state of those whom paticipate lol

the lady in question was, IF NOTHIN ELSE, an ICON of the sort that

these very same conversations TOOK PLACE while she lived.

they TAKE PLACE now in her passin

and they WILL TAKE PLACE as long as there is a study

of american, nay, MODERN CULTURE...

to some she may have been the fool,

yet, if you really looked into the background of THE FOOL

you will see he was all but the fool.

i grew up through the whole of the sixties and saw her through

the likes of TIME and LOOK magazines. different interviews

and other news clips. she may have had weakness in her

but i cold not see her as weak.

she may have been abused and used but i could not see her

as beaten, even in her end.

so, all haterisms aside, she's well worth the talk.

she was what the world wanted her to be, because she made

the world talk about her... and apparently, she did a good job of it lol

i am KING BAD!!!
you are NOT...
evilking
STOP ME IF YOU HEARD THIS BEFORE...

I don't come here to the Org because it's a cult & I don't worship Prince. Far from it. Maybe some people do. I do not.

*

Regarding the whole world talking about you, I'm not sure that the Scriptures mean anything to you KB but they do to me. Just because the whole world is talking (giving praise to a mess), doesn't mean it's a good thing. In fact, quite the opposite. Hitler gets the same along with all the other psychos in history.

*

Sorry, I don't go with the world / crowds / the masses / modern culture / Look Magazine / TIME etc. Obviously, those things mean a lot to you. They don't to me. We differ in that regard. Those things mean nothing to me.

*

You're free to your opinion. Please let me be free to have mine. I don't worship darkness.

I read and own her biographies, read them long time ago. Yes, she had a disorder and many issues. But she had no real parents. She had no father, no real connection her her monther, but always paid for her. She somewhat survived and made it big very youn. She must have been brave and definitely not stupid and posssibly ahead of her time for a women. Eventually she died because of these issues. She was always lonely and died lonely and was used by the Kennedys. They probably fucked and treated her shit like most men in power would do. These guys were cowards.

It must have been very though for her. If I were her, I'd have died at age 36 too. Her second husband, Joe was the one who organised the burial ceremony and sent fresh flowers to her grave for many years to come. It wasn't Arthur.

She has the saddest childhood story I'ever read. Can you imagine what it must have been like living in foster homes all your life. Finally she got married at 16 and she had no idea why...

To me it sounds very though...having nobody even not one family member, specially as woman living...in the 50s...and what was to come..I mean it's even tough now for woman, specially in Hollywood, right?

Madonna has fucked her way up to fame, but she hasn't even got the talent and bravity that Marilyn had and she isn't coming from poverty that Marilyn was. She worked in a plane factory at 16 like most women were in the 50s doing manual work. That's why that bitch is looking up to Marilyn.

Marilyn needs some props for making it somewhat.

I'm not denying it, it's just that it's puzzling that a person with an IQ of 172 became ...just an actor, no offense...

I cant find any info, but I thought she invented some sort of mathamatic something that helped in WW2. But I may have her confused with another starlet.

Wow that's cool.

Just looked it up and I don't think that it's true. But who knows with wikipedia?

http://en.wikipedia.org/w...l_vehicles
It was at the Van Nuys Radioplane factory that in 1944 that Army photographer David Conover saw a young lady named Norma Jeane, and thought she had potential as a model. This "discovery" led to fame for Jeane, who soon changed her name to Marilyn Monroe.

Caption: Marilyn Monroe was a technician at the Radioplane munitions factory when she was photographed at her job by Yank magazine in 1944.

She was amazing in Born Yesterday and It Should Happen to You. So sad that she succumbed to cancer at 43.

Who knows? I do give her some props especially for what she did as far as Ella Fitzgerald and Sammy Davis were concerned though.

Who said anything about there being a cult because people think some blonde bombshell actress (she really was a bombshell batting eyes ) was smart? That's just people's opinion. You act like you're really upset about that. As if it's a fact she was a dingbat?
