Terminator reboot

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!!! Stop grinding this franchise into the ground Hollywood. mad

http://www.deadline.com/2013/12/emilia-clarke-terminator-sarah-connor-role/

EXCLUSIVE: It’s official. Emilia Clarkewill play Sarah Connor in the Terminatorreboot, re-teaming with director Alan Taylor, who has worked with Clarke in the HBO series Game Of Thrones. Clarke joinsJason Clarke, who is in n...ohn Connor in a storyline I’ve heard involved a trip into the future. Deadline revealed that he was in talks earlier this week. Arnold Schwarzenegger is also back in his signature cyborg role.

Emilia Clarke Terminator Sarah ConnorThis was a hotly contested role and it came down to Clarke and Brie Larson. Both actresses tested for the producers at David Ellison’s Skydance and Megan Ellison’s Annapurna, and Paramount, which will release the film in July 2015. Clarke’s breakout role came in Thrones, where she plays the dragon-commanding heroine Daenerys Targaryen in that massive HBO series, and is probably the most sympathetic of all vying to rule. She started as a shy sister of an annoying king brother, but has demonstrated the mettle to capably play one of the screen’s most formidable heroines as originated by Linda Hamilton in James Cameron’s first two films in the series. She’s repped by CAA and Emptage Hallett in the UK.

disbelief It was bad enough when they didn't know how to stop making sequels to this franchise but to remake the original Terminator is just blasphemy.

If you are going to start over-get a new actor to play the cyborg (younger).

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

There are so many Sci-Fi books out there just waiting to be turned into Films but a lot of Screenwriters & Directors fear they won't get the green-light. Rebooting old flicks has turned in good numbers @ the Box office so the Studios will give the cash to make'em.....Although I Hope "Terminator" does not have the same fate as the "Conan" remake that flopped...I'm sure Arnold's old housekeeper agrees with me that he's the ONLY person that can handle a Sword the right way....The Studios need to leave that man's movies alone...

Another one of Arnold's Films that got remade AND flopped like "Conan" is "Total Recall"....At first I thought Colin Ferrall was the wrong pick(The Leading Guy from J.I. Joe would have been good) but Colin did a GREAT job carrying the movie from begining to end. The supporting actors were recognizable, the action scenes were on-point and the updated special effects even made the storyline enjoyable. I felt I got my monies-worth. The majority of Movie-goers felt other-wise..

for some reason, Hollywood has just dried up; nowadays, its biggest films are versions of books of comics written decades (or centuries!) ago

and they keep rebooting/remaking relatively fresh sci-fi classics (Robocop, Prometheus-Alien, and now Terminator)

I guess they don't have the balls to remake OLD thriller/drama classics from the '30s-'70s, that would be too much

Hollywood is ruled by fools these days...

The company owns the copywrites and its easier and cheaper for them to retool old movies than pay for new product. I mean half of these remakes have almost nothing to do with the original films except the title.

so does this mean even MORE royalties for the Black woman (sophia cooper or something) who sued for theft of her original idea for terminator and the matrix?!

From what I heard. The Rock will be playing the cyborg, and Arnold the hero that they base their future Terminators on.
