Skin Care What do you use to cleanse your face? I know I can look this up on line, but I want suggestions from people who have tried different things Tell me what you have used, how it has worked, ect. I've tried a lot of different things over the years. Many of them were pretty pricey too which really isn't necessary. I love Jurlique products (moisturizers in particular). * One really good cleanser that I discovered is Oil of Olay Regenerist. What's nice about it is that it doesn't dry out your skin like some cleansers do and it also has an exfoliator built in. So, you can cleanse and exfoliate at the same time. It leaves your skin feeling really nice, soft & smooth when you're done cleansing. It's quick, easy & pleasantly inexpensive. You can pick it up at your nearest CVS store, Walgreens or order it online. * Here's a link so you can read about it (it gets a lot of good reviews everywhere): * http://www.amazon.com/Ola...t+cleanser * It sounds like your skin type (moderately oily) is different than mine but if you read some of the reviews, you may get an idea if it may work for you. I too have sensitive skin. I actually use sweet almond oil to remove any makeup from the day first, rinse really good and then cleanse with Regenerist. It works great for me. * Also, be sure to get some Omega 3's in your diet (like flax oil). Really helps to keep the skin nice (as well as your lips from drying out). It helps to hydrate the skin from the inside out. * WONDER VITAMIN! I discovered vitamin B5 in the last couple of months and man o man is it a wonder vitamin! It does so many things for your body. It's called the "anti stress" vitamin and I've been loaded down with stress in the last year. Well actually, most of my life, but especially in the last year. It's literally changing my life and it has done wonderful things for my skin. Stress can do a real number on your skin & your energy level. I not only have more energy now but it makes me feel calm which is such a blessing after all the stress I've endured. It gets your adrenals functioning properly again after stress overload. It's really unbelievable what it's doing for me on the inside and the outside. I'm thrilled to say the least. I take a B complex, a mulitple vitamin and some extra B5 daily. I'm totally sold on B5. So, if you're under a lot of stress, I highly recommend it. If you have some time Google the benefits of Vitamin B5 (aka. Pantothenic Acid). * Hopefully, nothing I've recommended will give you a "f*cked up face". *

We seem to have similar skin. I use Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. I've been using it for about 3 years and I love it. Cleanses well and doesn't dry out my skin. It's even great for the eye area.
I also use Fresh sugar lip balm. It's one of my favs and seems to work very well for me.

Tempest and Empress, thank you for taking the time to respond. I will look into the products that you suggested. "Aren't you even curious? Don't you want to see the dragon behind the door?"

What I found is best for my skin (including lips) is to switch up the products every month or two and not use them daily (apart from cleaning your face, obviously).

I have tried everything uder the sun from cheap, to expensive... I amm super sensitive on my face, Sometimes my face get very hot and will then blotch out in big red blotches... this is the only thing ive found that dpesnt burn, works well, and I can use it daily!! When I get a blotch freak out the only thing I can use is vaseline for a moisturizer... Ive always used it, but its a pain in the ass at night because my pillow case gets greasy... I can use it during the day, I just put a think layer on, go about my business, then right before I put makeup on I wipe it off... it creates a moisture barrier, it keeps it in! Otherwise, when im in non blotch freak out (which thank god is not very often anymore) I use Burts bees royal jelly night cream for my daytime lotion..................... Drinking tons of water does nothing for hydrating skin..............here is the cleanser...[img]http://pics2.ds-static.com/prodimg/142225/300.jpg[img] ~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~

Dove for sensitive skin is a great product and I've been using it as well as Fresh Soy Face Cleanser for years. I use the Fresh at night to wash off my make up. I find that Dove doesn't get all my make up off, but it's great in the morning. At 50, I also find that Dove dries my skin a little more than it used to, but the Fresh doesn't.

1. Dove & Purpose soap for my face. 2. I do an egg white face mask once a month. 3. I swear by Baby Magic lotion (not the Johnson & Johnson brand) for my face but I've also started using Lancome (genifique) lotion. 4. We use humidifiers in the winter months.
To Dave's point, get your rest. My mother says if you in the "streets", it will eventually show-up on your face.

I see I'm going to have to change in the moisturizing department. I don't even live where is snows and my skin is starting to dry worse then it ever has. I think I'm going to start using Aveeno products on my face. I started using the body lotion by accident several months ago, and that dry itchiness I started getting went away instantly and my skin feels nice without feeling greasy. I also started using Mary Kay's tinted sunscreen moisturizer on my face, my daughter was selling it and I tried it and I like it a lot, but as winter rolls in I see I'm going to have to use something to accompany that.

just bathe face with hot water daily, as hot as you can tolerate, don't bother pissing around with expensive cleansers & moisturize with oil of olay essentials/double action cream. try face scrub weekly, any that take your fancy, i would suggest body shop, as long as it's got 'bits' in that gonna feel uncomfortable when you scrub avoid cherry chapstick, better to stick with something plain like vaseline/lypsyl/chapstick. you will be less likely to wanna lick it off. smear it on frequently to keep your lips lovely oh & baby oil all over body, directly to wet skin then towel off all this works well for me

At one point, Genesia mentioned a lip balm that is like her winter lip bible. (I think it was a lip balm) Does anyone remember what is was? Or what thread she mentioned it in? "Aren't you even curious? Don't you want to see the dragon behind the door?"

You can just use egg whites or add lemon with your egg whites, bet them to a froth. They have several recipes but the former and latter work for me.
I simply take a steam shower to open up my pores: Clean / wash your face, pat dry, apply egg whites( avoiding your eyes) lie down the the mask should take 10 to 15 minutes to dry. Wash off mask with warm water, splash your face with cold water 2 /3 times and plat dry. Egg whites do dry out your skin so apply a moisturize afterwards always. I have moderately oily to normal skin. Throw some cumbers on those eyes too.

my gynaecologist told me to use nothing on my lady parts except sorbolene cream (which I couldn't find in the states, so I used Dove unscented sensitive cleansing bar)
* Is made to a dermatological standard.
If it's good enough for my vulva it works for the rest of me too! I'm the mistake you wanna make

For body, I have some fantastic fragrance free moisturizing cream I buy at Target (it's alot like Cetaphil * comes in a tub) and then I add drops of essential oils to it (lavender & chamomile). The fragrance is DIVINE once I'm done stirring my potion. * I also add lavender essential oil to my shampoo and the sweet almond oil that I use on my face. * Just ordered some Jasmine oil & French Lavender essential oil yesterday online that I can't wait to receive. YUMMY! * This company ROCKS! http://www.newdirectionsaromatics.com * If you're into lavender essential oil, they're having a sale right now! *
