Crispin Glover's latest piece of cinematic genius! WILLARD

I haven't seen the film yet, but "Willard" comes out tonight and I have to see it... Crispin Glover is one of the greatest actors out there and he will be PERFECT as the maniacal rat leader!

Who else is going to go see the movie?

I haven't seen this yet either, but I also think Glover is perfect.

Did you see him in Bartleby? I hear it sucked.

I haven't seen it, but I heard that he was brilliant in it... I want to see it so that I can judge for myself.

I don't know where to get it though.

Dunno. But I'd like to see Bartleby redone as a serious drama.

I was recently thinking about him and wondering if he was working on anything...it's good to see that he is.

While "Willard" was not the greatest movie that I have ever seen, Crispin Glover's performance was amazing... after seeing "Dreamcatcher" this weekend, I have decided that "Willard" was one of the best movies in recent days.

Willard = good
Dreamcatcher = bad

Anxiety

As a mainstream cinema showcase for Crispin Glover, this film should push him toward the not-unrespectable title of the Gen X Anthony Perkins...nobody's doing what The Hellion did in "Willard" these days - the darkness, the screaming fit, the fine line between humor and sadness...if he's not already an outsider icon, he is now.

And "Bartleby" was a good flick, and another nice showcasing of CG's acting...just a much smaller, less splashy film. It's a good companion piece to "Willard".

That screaming fit in the mortuary was GREAT!!!

Nobody could have played that part anywhere near as good as Crispin Glover!

Just read an interview about him Entertainment Weekly. Pretty interesting character and seems a lot like. . . Do I dare say it. Prince.

I think he's kinda sexy though. In a surreal sort of way.

Willard was a fine film. I do hope for a re-make of Ben (even if this film implied that Willard killed Ben). I think it would be fascinating to see the juxtoposition of Willard against the little boy who befriends Ben in the sequel (both are outsiders, but Willard rejects Ben, while the child embraces him).

I thought that this version did an excellent job of presenting Ben, Willard and Socrates as the Id, Ego and Superego. Willard's slow decay into insanity is quite fascinating, and Crispen Glover was perfectly cast.
