Getting drunk So...last night I was at this small concert and I had the best, and I mean THE BEST Long Island Iced Tea that I've ever had in my life.

* 1. No, I don't drink cuz it bothers my sinuses. 2. No, I don't get drunk. 3. Most drunk? One night back in college on Long Island Ice Teas (7 corners in Minneapolis, Grandmas Bar & Restaurant). How long ago? Probably around 1983 or thereabouts. No, I didn't enjoy it. Yes, I regret it big time. No, I would not repeat it. 4. I don't care for hard liquor at all. I used to be able to tolerate champagne & wine in moderation but alcohol just doesn't sit right with me. Even the smell of things like whiskey, brandy, scotch, vodka etc. kinda gross me out. Alcohol has never been very important to me. I used to like to get giggly on champagne when I was in college but it's really easy for me to do without it. It's never been that appealing to me. * If I drank a full glass of champagne now I'd probably feel it big time. LIGHTWEIGHT! *

2. No. 3. (1) a long time ago I had an alcoholic drink (don't remember, maybe rum/coke, BF at that time offered me a beer and I told him beer and alcohol a bad mix. Well I had it anyways (dumb me) and whoa I had to lie down and the room was moving 3(2) Certainly not. I had to fight the dizzyness and urge to throw up. Managed not to be sick. 3(4) Nope, never, ever ever. 4. Ouzo. I went to a Greek restaurant for a meal back in the day and had a shooter with this clear liquid that tasted like black licorice. Mmmmmm it's good. Anyways...... I was only sipping it during my meal. After the bill was paid and we got up to leave......... I was almost freaking out wondering what was wrong with me because I could not walk a straight line to the restaurant door to leave, but managed to leave. And I only had one Ouzo and nothing else. I will never have that shit again

1 - occasionally...2-3 times a year 2 - rarely...a lot more in my 20's...binge drinking and 3 - on my 22 bday i drank enuff to blackout, act a fool, dice my cake up, flinging it everywhere apparently...then later passed out in the backyeard with nothing but boxers on with my cock hangin out the flap. Good thing there was no facebook those days. I enjoyed most of my drinking...but sometimes it would makhe me sad/depressed. That and crohns disease made me drastically cut back. I dont regret none of it and would it again. Only tequila i cant really stomach and thats cuz its tequila. I got passout drunk and vomiting from goldschlager on H.. grad night...i can still drink that...EASILY...its delicious. i wish my tummy problems and sleepiness allowed me to nk more. i always get really tired and sleepy and wanna lay down...not fun...but untill that appens, im a , jovial drunk...not an angry or argumentative drunk !...but i do talk more than ...but everyone i know says im a fun drunk. :martini: [Edited 9/20/13 15:46pm] [Edited 9/20/13 15:52pm]

2. Not in many years. I remember getting pretty toasted in the chatroom at the NPGMC a few times. So I would say, not since 2004, at least.
3-4. No. Not ever. Not a chance.

I got 2 huge bottles of duty free rum on the way home last month. Not much is left. We are talking those mega bottles - the limit one person can bring in. I'm an anxious person and with one drink I feel a bit more like a regular person who isn't on edge all the time. But I like to be tipsy not DRUNK, so I've mostly stopped at 2-3 drinks over an entire evening. I'm not used to champagne so I got a bit beyond tipsy in Seattle :err: Last time I was puking drunk was horrible. I woke up on the floor with no memory of the evening and I had thrown up on my pillow. YUK! We'd had friends over and we opened a bottle of Canadian Club. I think that was 5-6 years ago and is only the second time that's ever happened that I've passed out. I don't have any embarrassing college drinking stories. I didn't drink until I was 24 and even the biggest nights it would be 3 drinks max. At the moment I'm not drinking because it doesn't fit into my LCHF diet I'm the mistake you wanna make

My 'breast incident' changed my drinking habbits. Before, I once in a while got very drunk. That night it was a bit extreme, but I got home save in taxi. When I took out my clothes, I thought it was fun to do a striptease. When I got to get out of my panties, I fell.
I fell on top of a Chinese lantern that was waiting to be hung on the ceiling. The iron lattice went in my breast. Happily my breast is not small.
So, since then I drink only moderately. 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I don't drink... I haven't in at least 20 years. I had one of those "Please, God. If I survive this night..." incidents.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I will have a beer every now and then when I arrive home from work, and I'll have an occasional glass of wine with dinner. Never been drunk, though.
I assume I have a fairly high tolerance to alcohol. Friends have tried to get me drunk on several occasions with repeated drinks... just to see what I'd be like. Each time I ended up the sole remaining sober person in our crew. Otherwise, I am very restrained in my alcohol intake. My father would occasionally binge, and I found his behavour terribly unflattering. I've never been particularly open to putting myself in that state. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

tbh i don't know how i'm still alive, spent my late teens off me pickle, but had such a great time doing it. the only regrets were waking up with head down the loo & snogging an ugly bloke, if i had to do it all again, you bet i would, minus ugly bloke i think the worse occasions were being abroad, bars would give the biggest measures for very little money & looking back on these occasions i put myself in very stupid situations. i shudder at some stuff & have nagged my kids relentlessly about staying safe
Is there an alcohol that you can't stomach because of a bad experience? gordons. my mum won a bottle in a raffle, it sat in the cupboard for months! one night when i was 16, i took it to a party & got mortal.. ended up in hospital that night. even the thought of gin makes me wanna vom

* If they're made properly, you really can't taste the gin in the mix. Grandma's in Minneapolis used to have the best ones around here. They were large too. I don't even remember who turned me on to those back in the day but we all drank them. I'll never drink another one. Fortunately, I didn't get sick on them the night I accidentally went overboard but I can promise you I wasn't feeling any pain. They're loaded.

I really thought that I was dying. I probably should have had my stomach pumped.
The next day I found out that I had drunk-dialed some people and told them what I really thought...
Yeah, I'm done. That was one of the worst experiences of my life.
** Those of you who have hung out with me know that I don't need alcohol to have a good time...

* They really do getcha good. No doubt about that. * I'll bet TGI's teas are good. I may have had one or two there back in the day as well. Well, since Grandma's is now closed, if I ever get the urge to have one, I'll know where to go. However, I'm guessing that may never happen. * Speaking of drunk dialing, I did some of that back in the day as well. I wasn't technically drunk but seriously silly & giggly on champagne when I did it. I never called anyone to chew them out. It was always good fun, flirtatious, pranks etc. However, normally, I was the one people called when they were tipsy & drunk, etc. They'd call at all hours of the night to chat about things like problems, girlfriends, boyfriends, the weather, etc. I'm amazed I ever got any sleep. Good lord, those were the days.
