Let me qualify this: I'm not asking whether you boneheads would want to be known as a stud rather than a dud. Rather, I'm particularly wondering if being known as a manwhore would disturb you.

Recently, I quipped about the sexual impropriety of a male acquaintance of mine. He wasn't sure if I was joking, and he seemed honestly concerned at the possibility I wasn't. I clarified that my comment was, indeed, made in jest. (I have no clue as to the nature of his love life.) But I have to say I gained even more respect than I'd already had for this guy. The popular notion, of course, is that girls suffer from allegations of promiscuity while guys are immune and, sometimes, even relish in the notoriety. It was kind of cool to encounter a single, hetero male who seemed not to follow the stereotype.

Eh, not really. But then again, I do care about having my actions misrepresented and mischaracterized by those who don't know me nearly well enough to be doing so. So I guess sexually it would be the same thing.

I would think that for the vast majority of us, it's more of a stigma to be considered a monk than a whore.

I mean, not that anyone REALLY wants to be considered a true whore in every sense of the word, but to "get around" is more of the "norm" than to be...say in your 40's with only 1 or 2 notches in your belt.

So I guess my answer is "yes" ...but not in the sense that you presented.

I definately care. When I was out in the world, I found it much easier to attract dudes if I told them I was extremely selective and overly picky about who I was intimate with (which was the truth). It always made dudes pursue me more aggressively. I've always been different from most men. I never found sleeping around with any ole yahoo who presented me with the opportunity to be attractive anyway.

Where? I didn't see any orgers say that.

I personally don't think most women care how many women a man they want to be with has been with before them. All that matters is that they don't be with anyone else while with them, unless it's some kind of mutual agreement that it's an open relationship.

Women are all about "changing" a man, so how they were before us doesn't matter.
