Do you hate him as an actor or what?
His comments about black women turned me off.
ahh...OK.
I don't know about that, but if it turned you off then I can just imagine.

This movie is going to be SO FREAKING GREAT! I know I said that about "The Expendables" and it was horrible. And I know I didn't say that about "The Expendables 2" and it was AWESOME.
But I am not afraid to put it out there. This movie will ROCK.
You really though E2 was awesome? Part 1 was good and I was geared up for part 2, but i thought it was just "decent". Now that Blade is in part 3 I'm def going to see it..
Oh YEAH. I was hyped up for 1 and thought it was just plain stupid.
I almost didn't bother going to see 2, but did and thought it was fantastic. MUCH better plot, IMO, and the jokes were off the chain! Especially the Chuck Norris bits. |

Apparently Willis wanted $1 million a day to show up.
He was needed for 4 days, so Stallone said thanks, but no thanks. |

yeah, part 1 was basically a bad action movie
part 2, on the other hand, was a good action movie with some conciously "bad" parts
and the "bitten by a King Cobra" joke made me laugh hard [Edited 8/9/13 13:20pm] |

I associate the Expendables franchise as a vehicle for older, once-hot actors in the action genre.
IMO -
- Vin Diesel is too recent
- Keanu Reeves is not "action" enough
- Sam Worthington - still wet behind the ears
- Hayden Christensen - aw hell no!
MR T would be PERRFECT. Carl Weathers probably needs the income, and he was "Action Jackson" so definitely fits in.
Val Kilmer? Only if he hires a trainer, and only as a villain.
Action Jackson sucked donkey balls. The movie poster should be in the dictionary under the definition for examples of the word "corny".
But Vanity got naked in the movie so it's a good movie |

What makes the 2nd one memorable is Van Damme as the villan. I don't even remember who the villan was in the first one. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

I agree 100%. I hope that with Wesley in, they can go ahead and take Terry Crews out. Sorry but Terry is just corny (in the movie) to me.
I agree!!!

Yeah...that's about the only film (franchise) where he did anything resembling "action".
Well...then again...maybe they need a bus driver for the REAL action heroes?

But there was that one movie where he was on a bus and they had to go a certain speed and if they feel below that speed they would be blown up, so they had all these speed challenges that made it hard to keep up their speed, and eventually they went below the speed but they'd already gotten everyone off that bus before they lost their speed.
I think that movie was called "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down" or something along those lines. |

Mel is gonna play the villian
that means (considering how smart Sly is) he'll act all nutty and evil, like a real asshole, not that different from his real-life persona
this movie is gonna ROCK |

Will anybody have any reasonable screen time with all the additions? That would suck if everybody did that Chuck Norris thing, even though his sudden appearance at the time was kinda cool, but a movie with a bunch of those moments probably won't be all that fun. |

the main core of the Expendables are Sly, Statham, Couture, Crews and Dolph Lundgren (who kind of replaced Jet Li in part 2)
the rest of the stars basically function as glorified cameos or as the villians...

Hmmmm...Well since Mel Gibson is added to the list we'll see a whole lot of Cra-Cra this-go-round...I agree that Carl Weathers would be great addition..I don't know if he remained good friends with Stalone after the Rocky franchise. |

This time around he's got good Dramatic actors, so we'll see if they can carry whatever Plot Stallone has written...Part 2 didnt do so good at the Box office. If E3 doesnt pull in good numbers it might be the last. |

I think they were cool up until Stallone was doing "Rocky Balboa" (Rocky VI) and Carl Weathers asked for a part but Stallone refused on the basis that Apollo had been dead and there wouldn't be any relevance in writing him into the movie. As a result, Carl refused to give permission for Sly to use past images of him as Apollo Creed in the Rocky Balboa movie. I know that there was a two hour Rocky special on A&E or Biography...I forget which one, but Carl Weathers participated in it. So again, I'm not sure of if they are friends at this point or not. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

I didnt know about that story between Stallone & Weathers. I wonder what happened in Carl & Bruce's lives that created this attitude that they're suppose to get everything they ask for? It must be the way they were raised. Parents can do a number on their children. |

Well according to Sly, it was Carl's arrogance that actually got him the role of Apollo Creed. He actually said it in that Rocky special I mentioned. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |
