Afte watching The Crow again tonight I'd forgotten that I loved the entire movie except for that stupid little blond girl...Rochelle Davis. She ruined it. Everything she said was like she was reading from a piece of paper. mad That movie would have been perfect if not for her acting and Brandon Lee dying. :-(Thank the Gods she only made one more movie in 2009.

I even made it through the sequels until I tried to watch The Crow:Wicked Prayer. ill Is ANYONE as bad as Tara Reid????? disbelief Or Edward Furlong??? confused

I watched “Se7en” with actor/director commentary (no, I do not have a life), and Brad Pitt admitted towards the end of the movie, he went back to the studio and re-recorded (at his behest) some of his dialogue. He said he wished he hadn’t as it came off sounding flat. He was specifically speaking of his dialogue in the car ride on the way to finding out ‘what’s in the box’ –
not sure if he rerecorded the stuff once he’s seen the box.

I think Brad Pitt is good in “Kalifornia” and “Money Ball.” He sort of plays the same guy in every movie, but I think he did a decent job in those two films.

Speaking of one note actors – Julia f’ing Roberts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh!!! Pout, laugh super annoyingly loud purse lips, put hands in pockets to look casually cool, rinse, repeat. IN EVERY DAMN MOVIE!! And she’s the same in interviews. That’s why I don’t like her acting, because it’s nonexistent.
She plays herself over and over. My friend claims that Julia actually acted in “Erin Brokovich.” No she didn’t, her push-up bra did.

Yes, I do believe ScarJo’s boobs are why Woody Allen keeps hiring her. She is not good. But she was decent in “Ghost World” and “Lost In Translation.” I’d also say she was passable in the first 30% or so of “Match Point.”

As for “The Room,” what can you say? They used the same sex scene in the movie twice, and tried to pass it off as a different scene. “Lisa! You’re tearing me apart!!!”

I usually find her acting really engrossing, but I think Jennifer Jason Leigh is dreadful (almost to the point of unwatchable) in “Delores Claiborne.”

I saw an interview with Tommy and he said that the plot is so complex that Americans will need to watch the movie twice. He really did say that. We have a bad movie club and nothing we've watched so far holds a candle to "The Room." Nothing.

Maybe it really is complex and genius and we just don't have the mental capacity to realize that... hmmm

Tom Cruise is terrible at crying (e.g. Cocktail) vs. I'll say, Leonardo DiCaprio (e.g. Romeo & Juliet) who is great at it!

This movie:

http://templeofschlock.bl...le-46.html

Even though one of the girls in it was a friend of mine from college, it's still the worst movie of all time. It's so bad that there is NO footage of it ANYWHERE.

I bought the soundtrack album, and I'm going to check this afternoon and see if I still have it. Apparently, it's historically bad. If I have it, I'm pretty sure it's still in its wrapper. eBay, here I come!

Here's a cool synopsis of the movie. BTW, this movie was shown under 6 different titles!

<<Constantly tinkered with over the course of 10 (some say 20) years, different versions of this Texas-shot obscurity were released between 1974 and 1983 - maybe even later - under the titles IT HAPPENED ONE WEEKEND, IT HAPPENED ON SUNDAY, SCARLET WARNING 666, SCARLET LOVE, ROCKEY'S STYLE and LOVE IS DEEP INSIDE. Anything I have to say about the late, legendary d.i.y. filmmaker/con man Dr. Palmer Rockey would simply be a reiteration of what has been written elsewhere, so I've included a few informative links at the end of the post in addition to a couple of pieces I found in Dallas (1974) and El Paso (1975) newspapers. Most people in the cult of Rockey first became aware of his endlessly morphing movie through its bizarre soundtrack LP, which itself was released in two different versions -- first in 1979, then in 1980 with two bonus cuts (!) -- both times under the ROCKEY'S STYLE title. All versions of this movie have apparently vanished without a trace>>

I saw the movie (it was playing as "Rockey's Style"). Palmer Rockey was actually there, in the movie theater, and asked me what I thought of his movie as I was leaving. I just didn't have the heart to be truthful so I just mentioned how I'd gone to school with Amy (the girl in the movie). He thought that was cool.

But his wife didn't think HE was very cool, and wrote a book about him. Here's the summation:

<<Cookie Ann Rockey(Mary Ann Ashcraft) was born in Tacoma, Washington, but resides in Texas. Having worked for the post office in Seattle, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Mabank, Texas, for thirty-five years, three months, and nineteen days, she retired to a small town in East Texas with her second husband, Charles Ashcraft, who passed away suddenly in 2010. She began writing her memoirs in 2001. It began as a journey to dispel the nightmares from her breakdown and divorce from Palmer Rockey. It became a journey of healing.>>

I just saw the end of "Se7en" again, you know with the Fedex box. And compared to Freeman and Spacey... Pitt seemed to be showing off some really bad unconvincing acting there at that intense moment.

I was shocked by how bad it seemed.

I actually thought that was the only moment in the movie where he didn't embarrass himself acting wise... In the rest of the movie his "acting" is just distracting, he's so bad at it...
The only movie he convinced me in was "Fight Club" that movie is almost perfect (had they used instrumentals of NIN's "The Downward Spiral", which was the inspiration for the book, for the score then it would have been one of the most perfect films ever created...)
