Ever heard of the Shadow People? The Hat Man?

Just saw a thread on here about a guy who's friend is losing it and it got me thinking. I have a friend who has been seeing a shadow figure for a while now. He tells me it wears a hat and cape and follows him. At first I thought he must be scizophrenic. I've encouraged him to see someone but he swears he's not crazy and that THIS IS REAL. I googled it and there ARE actually reports of people seeing this, even with a hat. ??? Could this be a real thing or is he delusional?

there's a lot we don't know about the physical universe. could your friend be seeing people from parallel universe(s) showing through where there is overlap between worlds? or maybe, time travellers. could our lives actually be an alien TV reality show??? could your friend be seeing the djinn? stories of the djinn have been around for thousands of years. i don't know what your friend is seeing. but, its is not uncommon for this type of encounter to be reported by so-called 'normal' people. hope he gets it sorted out.

^i have. well, not a shadow person, but what they call an 'apparition.' one of the places i rented a while back had some majorly haunty aspects which i didn't really get that they were 'hauntings' until a friend kindly tipped me off and i googled it all up.

i had a wide bright room which, no matter where and how many lights i had on, was always shadowy and dark, in a dense way. i used to see a standing figure, clear like a see-through ripple in water, but definitely human form, which walked down the hallway occasionally. once it walked down the hall into the room where my birds were. they made a huge scaredy fuss. they saw it too. they reacted as though a strange person had walked in. this is why i no longer believe it to have been eye floaties (which is what i first thought). i also felt my shoulder touched from behind more than once, when no one was there. actual physical touches, and once a hand on my shoulder.

these are actual experiences i had, which i puzzled over but dismissed at the time as not terrifying, but creepy. later my friend explained what could have been happening. THEN it kind of gave me chills. anyway, that's why i wouldn't dismiss out of hand the events the OP recounts. i'm still kind of looking for an explanation of my own

Interesting Xxaxx! , I do believe that sometimes someone can see something from another universe or a ghost or what have you. I also know that sometimes people who think they are seeing things are hallucinating. But my friend is 100 percent normal in every other way and like I said, when I googled this found stories of other people seeing same thing. Very bizarre. But it sounds like you saw something, with your birds also reacting. There's no telling what's out there. Thank you for your input. smile

Let me ask you a couple of questions - When your friend sees this hatted and caped shadow person behind him, is your friend wearing a hat and cape? And is there possibly a light source in front of him?

Because if so, then I think we figured this out.
