JAYSUS CAHRIZE, I love OAKLEY SUNGLASSES

There, I've said it.

I love them. I know they're not guccie or versace, etc.

But, their lifetsyle sunglasses are my goddamned favorite.

I LOVE their gascan, and fuelcell models.

I currently own a sport model and an Antics model, but probably

will get the Fuel Cells soon.

JAYSUS.

I have three pairs of Oakley sunglasses (two prescription, one non-prescription). They're okay. shrug

I'm more of a Maui Jim lover myself. I have 2 pairs and will never buy another brand.

With summertime almost here, I'm contemplating getting a pair of prescription sunglasses (previously I was addicted to clip-ons).

I'm not sure that I'd look good in Oakleys.

Probably will look into Ray-Ban Wayfarers.

These folding ones are cool;

My kids kept breaking my $200 sunglasses, so I've been wearing $10 ones from Target.
This thread inspires me to go for a nicer one again - maybe my kids are finally old enough to avoid smashing and grabbing my sunglasses...

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

In general I think they're ugly but I've never worn a pari to know how well they shade the sun. So meh.

I generally don't spend more than $20 or so on sunglasses as they are the kinda thing I inevitably leave somewhere, sit on, drop and/or step on and lose.

The Fuel Cells and the Antix model that you posted above look cool but other than that I´m not that much into Oakley sunglasses because they look too functional to me, i.e they look like something you´d wear while cycling or skating or whatever. But, like I said, the ones you posted above look nice. Most Oakley sunglasses are, in my opinion, a bit overpriced, and there are too many counterfeit products out there so you can never be sure whether they´re really tested and provide protection from UV rays.

Some expensive designer sunglasses are really poor when it comes to UV protection, and some cheap ass supermarket sunglasses can be much better as UV protection goes, or they can be terribly dangerous for your eyes, so I always make sure that the sunglasses I use are tested.

I am not really into spending huge amounts on pricey sunglasses because you often pay for the name, so I rarely pay more than 75 dollars on a pair of good sunglasses.

However, I really like the FUNK brand and for them I´d pay slightly more.

Unfortunately, their current models don´t look that interesting to me but it´s still a good brand.

The only reason I've bought any Oakley glasses is they have features that are nice for active pursuits - cycling, golf, etc. Non-slip nose pads and bows - stuff like that.

I wear prescription lenses all the time, so cheap sunglasses are pretty much out of the question, for me. The last pair I bought, I had progressive lenses put in them, so they were around 500 smackers. disbelief
