The official release of Java 8 is sometime during the summer 2013. But the beta version for Linux distros Ubuntu & Debian is already available:

But I like to know if anyone is plaining on installing Java 8 when the official version is release. Or better (or worse) yet, how many people are trying to keep their computers 100% Java free for good because of the fallout about security flaws with Java 7?
