One thing about III:

Why why was Shamus McFly's wife also Marty's mother? That makes no sense.

Dark City - 3.5/5 - This was a big favourite of mine back when I first saw it and for quite a few years afterwards. Looking back at if for the first time in a good five years I can see a few flaws, but I still think it holds up pretty nicely.

I watched "Terminator 2" last night.

It was still awesome. I'd forgotten how it ended. I almost teared up when the last thing you saw was SPOILER ALERT!

SPOILER ALERT!

The last thing you saw was Arnold's hand turning into a thumbs up! as he sunk into the molten steel.

sad bawl

I give "T2" the following rating (out of a possible five thumbs up!)

thumbs up!thumbs up!thumbs up!thumbs up!thumbs up!thumbs up!thumbs up!thumbs up!thumbs up!thumbs up!

I was flipping though cable channels and this was on HBO or Showtime...can't remember. I was intrigued because Lily Carter looks exactly like my DIL...the resemblance was creepy. I had no idea who she was but after some googling found out she is a porn star. But this was not a porn movie. It's in the vein of 9 1/2 Weeks, 8MM, or Requiem For a Dream IMHO. I actually loved the movie.

I haven't seen hardly any movies, I've been catching up on tv series, DS9, Warehouse 13, and especially Treme, which I'm just loving.

Five Star Day

Five Star Day 3/5 I must have been in the mood for this kind of movie cause it held my attention even though the reviews were not good, I enjoyed the little simple story, I didn't get all emotional and one could predict were it was going but it was cute to me.

Lifetime story of a chimp and various friends and struggles jn the research worl and his endeavor in the language ofbthe deaf. It was very sad at time...got my eyes to well up on two occasions. Its on HBO OnDemand or HBO GO for any who have that available.

Guess you don't see too many cop movies. This one was full of cliches including the impossible escape in the apartment complex.

Saw it the weekend it opened and have no desire to watch this series of cop cliches again.

Have you seen 'Colors?' 'The Departed' was a more instense movie.

Am I? And I wasn't even trying . . . .

Not a dick, just a difference of opinion. Really, anyone making that statement about that movie should be called on it.

Would love to hear from others who watch cop movies.

Star Trek Into Drakness (2013) - After the crew of the Enterprise find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.

There were some holes, but I still liked it very much. Beautiful in IMAX 3D. star star star star

It is the posters opinion. Say you don't agree but don't be insulting or assholish about it.

Anything beyond the phrase, "I dont agree," probably would have gotten me pegged as an asshole. I was just talking in jest, but if u wanna have a thin skin about it, thts ok. Attempts to bring a little levity and habe some fun were thwarted. But,"I dont agree," is sooooo boring, u're gonna hafta work with me ere.

I wasnt aiming for the fun and levity to be at your expense. I was actually saddened by the lack of critical tinkg and also disheartened with the realization that your comment wasnt sarcstic. For if what u said is true, u think thats the best cop movie ever, u must have either not seen many good cop movies, or u dont know what mkesba good movie. And opinion doesn NOT trump all. Granted, art is art. Some arybis shitty though, some qrt is good...some is great. Heat is what it is. Cop and a Half is what it is. Die Hard is what it is. And, Cop Out,that kevin Smith movie is out there too. The truth is they are all art....but some just superior than others.
IIf an opinion is made with misinformation, said opinion is discounted. I dont like peole resorting to passing out discounted opinions when they dont have to. How does it go, an informed citizen is a prepared citizen.

Its irritating when ones opinion is supposed to matter more tan the quality ofbthe work.

Nope I don't have a thin skin about it. I just think there is a way to talk to people where you don't have to talk down to them or insult their opinion. Maybe that poster has seen a lot of cop movies and still sticks by what he says. What makes your opinion or Supra's opinion any more valid than his? Art is subjective.

Y'all think way too much of your own opinions.

So if i went t o a tennis court and found a used tennis ball, put it inva marble podium for dislay amdbsaid the tennis ball was a great piece of art, i wiudnt be talking out my ass? Yeah, sure, art is subjective....to a degree.... shitty artvis shitty art. A shitty movie is a shitty movie, beyond anyones opinion. If someonebtold u that shitty skin-a-max flick they watched friday night was one of the best action/drama/(dare i say)porns, no matter what u say, theyrebeiter stuid ot talking out they ass.

I DO NOT know how to make a movie. If i took a camera, some people and some things and filmed them. That is to say gotbthe images on to film. I edite terribly. The lighting wws for shit. None of the actors gotbtheir ines right and the sound guy was deaf. If i tookbthebresult ofbthis "work" and told people it was a good film...tobhell with ANYones "opinion"...it IS NOT a good film. ANY artist will tell u that the "subjective" clause has its limits. If u refuse to recognize tthis...i give up.
