YAY: SONGKRAN is ALMOST HERE April 13, 14, and 15!!!
The entire country will erupt in joyous partying and good times. It's legal to squirt anybody with water (though I've seen most be polite to foreigners with regards to this)

I've always loved the idea and think it sounds like a lot of fun!
But I have to be a party poop and ask whether this is some kind of waste of resources. Many parts of the world are short on water, and Bangkok has what - 9 million inhabitants? Those three days will probably cost many many million litres of water... | |
