So what? Do big and tall stores makes clothes available in petite sizes?

As distasteful as this is...it's their prerogative to offer clothing to a certain demographic. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

A company should not have to make clothes for fat people. So there's a different price for S,M, L and XL (normally L and XL get charged more). isn't going to do anything. I mean, they hate miniroties, so I won't be shopping there anytime soon. Why would I want them promoting clothes to Asians? Fuck that. I've gone from an XL to an L, and continue my journey. I'm saving money too. [Edited 5/10/13 10:22am] [Edited 5/10/13 10:28am]

And their stupid ass jeans don't even make your buttex look any better like Hollister jeans do. Seriously, I don't get why anyone would be up in arms over that tediusly boring company.

Ex-Moderator | The guy's an asshole. Point blank. No one has to offer anything they don't want to in their private business, of course they don't, that's not the point. |

I'm just surprised they still exist. And the founder look like he could be a Hobbit.

What was once a venerable and august brand has been destroyed. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

There's an A&F store on 5th Avenue in NYC that I walk by a lot, and it constantly has a huge line out the door. Whatever they're doing, they're doing it right (at least in regards to that one store). Doesn't bother me if they don't want their crappy clothes worn by overweight people.

People still shop at A&F?? How 00's. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

Wow.............people make an issue of EVERY THING.

I'm not sure if we have this store in Canada - I've never seen it or at least noticed it before.
It's not that they wish to sell to a certain demographic because really, pretty much every retailer does that.
It's the proclamations that their demographic is better than everyone else that is just another typical example of this pathetic bully culture we live in.

Here U go Imago But I think they prefer black and mulatto type models over asian I think the Situation from Jersey Shore tried to be an A&F model too and he was rejected so don't feel bad isn't that U 2nd from the left? or all the way to the right?

^^ Those are from the Singapore store opening long after they were taking to task for not hiring black folks. I don't think those photos are terribly sincere.

all of those Asian models weren't snapped at the Singapore store
black models were always in the picture, just not in abundance (who cares) it's the Asians that were absent, I would think there would be tones of Asian females at least [Edited 5/10/13 12:33pm]

My point is what they outwardly are projecting isn't something I perceive to be terribly sincere.

And if that first photo isn't from the Singpore openning, I'm Bette Davis.

At least they´re honest and blunt this time and don´t beat around the bush like they did in the past. I can´t stand that brand and its offshoot Hollister. I don´t care whether they stock large or XL clothing but I don´t like their elitist and bullying attitude and the consumer base that they cater to, and their clothing is horribly boring.

Aren't those always the ones? Besides, their clothes are extremely boring.

You already know the answer to that question.

I thought American Apparel had the biggest asshole running the company. 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I know Imago, I was just messing around from the start

All businesses have a target audience. The difference is Abercrombie is being honest about there's

Unless you're half naked in a bikini, you're not going to get any second looks wearing their boring shit.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
That's how it is in '13. Unfortunately.

For real. I look at that shits in a commercial back in 2005 and all I can remember is "who will WEAR that shit?" lol

Their clothes don't even fit "healthy" people. Not everyone is "fat" just because they don't have hips or breasts.
The men's clothing is probably the worst. My boyfriend is broad shouldered with large arms, and even the largest male size from them is too tight.
And let's not even talk about the quality of their clothing. Two washes and the darn things are falling apart.
Cheap garments with expensive price tags that cater to a mostly caucasian, and now very twiggy clientele.
They're only gonna dig the hole in the ground deeper by alienating a large subgroup of potential buyers (pardon the pun). Guess we can all be happy that American Eagle and H&M don't do that. The salvation of man is through love and in love. - Dr. V. Frankl

he is scum...but hey free speech and free market. the sad thing is enough of the people who can shop there will shop there and the company will still do fine. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

hey that's the idea
I like some of their shirts and caps though, love raised letters and designs
