Game of Thrones Season 3 Premier "Valar Dohaeris"

I know it doesn't air until tonight, but since there's SO MUCH GOOD STUFF happening on tv tonight I thought I'd start this now.

I gotta say, I'm a little worried about this season. I'm afraid they will pull a True Blood on me and have so man story lines that the ones that are solid lose time to the weaker/less interesting. Why does this worry me? I've read that there are 27 principle characters this season.

Before I go any further, let's recap where we left off last season:

Tyrion, despite seriously saving the collective asses of the Lanister family, was cast aside and stripped of all standing.

Sansa was released from her engagement to Joffry.

The Hound, loves killing, loves Sansa, hates fire. He left the battle field, but has he gone so far that he cannot help Sansa in her new, precarious position?

Stannis, masturbating isn't the only thing that will make you go blind, staring into fire for too long will to. Will the Red Lady be birthing him any more killer smoke babies to help achieve the victory seen in the fire?

Rob Stark broke his word to the Frye house and married another. Trouble's coming behind that.

Jon Snow is in cold, cold lands.

Did Sam survive the Snow Zombie herd?

And Dany, she got her dragons back and a small fortune taken from those who betrayed her. Previews show a sea voyage in her future.

What did I miss? What storyline are you looking forward to seeing?

You've got Arya and the true king. You've
got how things will unfold for Theon. There's Rickon and that group. We'll be busy.

I love your recap Nothinbutjoy.

I really just want to see someone flip Joffrey out on his ass and that damn mama of his too.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Arya has in store next for her. She's quite brilliant...I love her scenes.

Will Tyrion get revenge for being cutoff for nearly everything when it was he who only had ROYAL BALLS OF STEEL during the Blackwater battle?

Last but not least, what is cutie Jon Snow going to be doing this season?

I don't mean no harm, but Dany and her dragons bore the hell out of me. It was only interesting in season 1 when she married Jason Momoa's character...after he died it's like she's been this wonderer looking for a place to settle down, with her dragons of course. Perhaps they will make her storyline a bit more interesting this season.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yes!

What will happen to Theon! Is it the end for him? Will his sister rescue him?

Arya, it will be interesting to see how things go.

Ricon & the group. How will they fare?

You're right! We will be busy!

Oh yes! Not only does Joffrey need his ass kicked, but what about any fallout regarding "The Big Secret"? Does King Papa know? Will Jaime & Cersi be reunited?

Speaking of Jaime, I love Brynn (sp?), the female knight. I've seen a bit of the previews and I'm worried for her.

Dany's story has been drawn-out, but I love how she destroyed the men who underestimated her! I'm hoping to see more of that type of stuff from her.

Oh my, how in the world could I forget about Jaime (notepad time). I went over to the IMBD page it's all nicely colored blue I've never seen that, I've hardly seen anything rated over an 8 and 7s are considered very good, this is a 9.4 over there. Her name is spelled Brienne of Tarth and I really like her too, I think she's cute just very very tall, and she ain't no joke that's for sure. I cracked up at Jaime's face when when she took out those 3 guys. Arya must be playing a bigger role this time around, of course I'm basing that all on a poster.

Very solid episode.

King Papa is a dick.

Dany is still gullible.

The new intended for Joffrey is going to be a force to be reckoned with and Cersi knows it.

I've heard the first 2 or 3 episodes are builders so I was expecting a slow paced show. I will say though, the hour(-ish) went by really quickly!

Definitely will be watching this episode again later. Now on to The Walking Dead.

i just finished "a dance with dragons" a few days ago and was sad that

i'm gonna have to let the series rest now until "the winds of winter" is

gonna be released in a few years.

great stories, nicely written. and very, very addictive.

there's a lot of ground left for the series to cover. not sure how they're

gonna translate all of that into screenplay though. they are bound to

make some shortcuts in places, it would be almost impossible not to at

this point.

loved watching the dragons a bit more grown in tonight's episode.

had a bit of trouble recognising sam in the first scene, first i thought

they'd changed actors or something. but it must be because i didn't

review season two againi after reading the complete series of books

between november and now. he just changed from what i imagined

him to look like through the books i guess lol

also love watching Tywin -brilliant casting. and even Cersei, eventhough

she's queen bitch, fcuz smile

*** possible spoilers ***

haven't watched any previews to season 3 so i'm very curious to see

what bran's new companions myra and jojen will look like.

and mereen, i cannot wait to see the pyramids of mereen, although i

guess that might take another season or so.

From what I've been reading on www.ew.com , the show runners are having to tweak things a bit. They're making composite characters and I've read that book 3 of the series will go through Seasons 3 & 4.

I've only gotten through book 1 and part of book 2 so I don't really have anything that I've missed seeing or look forward to seeing.

nod Hell yes and I'm loving every bit of it. popcorn I can't wait for her to turn Cersei and Joffrey out on their asses.

That Jon Snow mushy He makes me sooooo weak in the knees. love

Peter Baelish....that's a sneaky con artist. One can only wish that Sansa had the senses that Arya has.

Episode was slow but still good, can't wait until next week.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

it'll be very interesting to see how the series develops from here on

since they're bound to catch up with george r r martin.

i mean, "winds of winter" is now planned for early 2015 but with his

delays it could well be later. or perhaps he'll surprise us all and will

have it finished by 2014, who knows.

what i'm trying to say is, if the series would go a little something like

this:

2013 season 3: book 3

2014 season 4: book 4 and 5

2015 season 5: book 4 and 5

2016 season 6: book 6 (yet to be completed)

2017 season 7: no book yet

it will become a bit of a race toward the end of the series in writing

and the series on tv.

but who knows, by 2017 a lot of things can happen lol

Reading Entertainment Weekly's interview of the producers, the 1st 2 eps will be setup and then they'll hit us with a series of great eps.

Just a guess at who Sansa's surprise groom will be:

Littlefinger. When I saw what he was saying in the last ep of season 2 and this ep, I think he's angling for that (he told the King he'd have to "acquire" some sons for Harrenhal), or to otherwise arrange her marriage to someone.

IMHO, he's trying to put the screws to Lady Katlyn Stark.

I dont understand why Sansa, whos is playing the game brilliantly with what little she has, would suddenly trust Little Finger when even in the last episode she was keeping everyone trying to thelp her at bay.

I never said she'd trust him. But she has few options. Her brother has (somewhat) abandoned her and her mother is under house arrest for trying to free her. She never knows what Joffrey will do and when he will do it.

We don't know WHAT they discussed on the shore in the early minutes of the episode. Sansa is faring pretty well, but she has no family at this point. Little Finger may be all there is, and both she and he know it.

It may be farfetched, but she does get married at some point this season.

Sansa's a pawn and to naive too know it.

Littlefinger is after her mother. If he has, for lack of a better word, control over Sansa's fate, Lady K will say "How high" when he says "Jump."

What I want to know is how much of this The Spider has figured out. Is that why he has gone to Ros. Is that why Ros whispered a warning to Sansa? I think yes. The Spider told Ros that Littlefinger had secrets that he thought were well hidden.

^ I dont think shes naive, she has avoided every trap that would label her a traitor and be missing her head. i just don't understand the sudden shift to actually talking to Little Finger bout her desire to get the hell out of Kings Landing.

Like I said even in last season's finale when shes tossed aside by the wonderful Joffery, She doesn't trust Little finger even when he tells her that shes gonna be The Kings toy to beat and rape at will. Maybe later we will see why she's letting her guard down, but I don't think its wise that its Finger.

I do know the spoiler of the upcoming possibel marriage and I find that very interesting if it the same as the book.

For a teenaged girl who saw her father beheaded, her king brother abandon her, her mother totally incapable of rescuing her, and endured beatings and psychological torture from Joffrey, his Guard, and scorn everywhere she looks, she'd done quite well. She DID hold the "Women Of Troy" together in "Blackwater."

Presumably, Finger's had a while to work on her. I'm thinking maybe now Finger wants revenge on her mother, hence the angle.

I do know the spoiler of the upcoming possibel marriage and I find that very interesting if it the same as the book.

Sorry, Orgers . . . *(REPORTED) SPOILER ALERT* . . . it will be interesting, and based on the timeline, it will have to be hurried which is why I guessed Finger but having not read the books I don't know.

I think that she's naive, or at least showing her young age, because as soon as Littlefinger mentioned her mother she began to confide in him.
