Sleepless in Seattle
Meg Ryan is batshit crazy, believing in some weird mix of fate and magic and reincarnation and the value of being able to peel an apple. Because of her insane obsession, she screws over her fiance, invades the privacy of a bereaved widower, and endangers the life of his child, and even worse...I think that movie inspired a whole generation of stalkers by showing them that persistent insanity is rewarded with true love.
God, I love that movie.

I couldn't sleep one night a week or so ago and it was on. It was fun to watch at 3 in the morning.

It's a great insomnia movie. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Oooh! Another sort of "persistence pays off" movie: Educating Rita. (I thought of that one while listening to a Mahler symphony. ) We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Have to bump this thread and add this one to my list....watched it last night. What a beautiful movie, what a simple yet touching story that I could relate to in so many ways...I know fans of the book blasted this movie, critics hated it, and most thought Javier Bardem wasn´t the best actor for this role but I disagree and I actually couldn´t care less....this is a beautful, romantic, sexy and touching movie. Enjoyed every little second of it. Will probably read the novel as well one day.

That´s strange. The images I posted don´t show up.
I posted a movie poster of "Love in the Time of Cholera" Great movie, nevermind what the critics say. [Edited 2/27/13 10:22am] " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

All that one shows is that, with enough persistence, you too can have a lot of pubic hair. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I'm kind of amused how the "film" portrays Prince as being incapable of having sex with women he's already seduced.

Obviously Prince was heavily into porn back then.

Happy Feet is another to add to the list, even has a really sweet song at the end. You know you are in love, when you cannot fall asleep because your reality is finally better than your dreams - Dr Seuss
