it was BIG ASS BLACK PIG, it (he? she?) seemed so fierce and healthy

I didn't take a pic because the owner seemed pissed off and in a hurry

is this normal? I mean, people buying BIG PIGS as a surrogate dog or something???

My supervisor in the Air Force owned a pet pig.

Apparently they are very affectionate, and can be litter-box trained.

They also lack a 'smell' that dogs have.

PIGS don't smell bad??

Pigs may not smell but their poop is RANCID.

Pig poop smells worse than human shit.

As long as you didn't see one FLYING, it's all good.

I worked on pig farm once and i must say pig crap and pig pee stinks something awful. To me their pee smells just as bad as cat pee. Also pigs wallow in their own shit and will eat anything. At the time i worked on the pig farm i was still a smoker and dropped a full pack of cigarettes in the pen. One of them damn things ate the cigarettes, pack in all.

Also pigs can be vicious. There was this one pig that the other pigs constantly harassed and bit. They wounded it so bad that the farm had to kill it. Them things can definitely develop a pack mentality.

Yep and i was mad too.

On another note. We used to dump all the pig poop into this big concrete lined, ditch type thing. We'd shovel the pig shit into a wheel barrel and wheel it to the edge of the hole and dump it. Well one dude actually lost his balance and fell into the hole. Wheel barrel and all. This happened before i got there but i heard the story. I always wondered how deep the hole was. There was probably a couple hundred pigs on the farm and we cleaned the pens every day so it had to be pretty deep. Also there was probably months of pig shit in there. Nasty.

Also we would get spoiled milk from the stores and feed it to the pigs. Now ya'll know how bad spoiled milk smells.
