I live in Wisconsin, which is awash in microbreweries. Most of my favorite beers aren't even available out of state.

The occasional beer or glass of wine (or even shot of quality schnaps/vodka/gin/whisky) is not really "booze" until you overdose it, and actually quite good for your body (again, providing the quality is good and the dose if low).

When I drink beer or wine, I don't treat it like "booze". It's a beverage that should be consumed sensibly, consciously and with style. I don't drink it because of the tiny amount of alcohol inside, but because of the taste. That's why I avoid bad beer/wine/liquor.

Alcohol is a hard drug, if you overdo it, but a beer/glass of (red) wine a day has been proven to be good for you. There's loads of articles online where you can look up information on that.

Smoking is unhealthy, no matter what the dose, I give you that.
