Your new 128 gb iPad will be here feb 5th

Dang....how many different models can people buy?

I still don't have any tablet, but love my iPhone 4s

In line with a stock database leak from earlier this week, Apple today officially announced a new 128 GB version of the fourth-generation iPad with Retina Display.
“With more than 120 million iPads sold, it’s clear that customers around the world love their iPads, and everyday they are finding more great reasons to work, learn and play on their iPads rather than their old PCs,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “With twice the storage capacity and an unparalleled selection of over 300,000 native iPad apps, enterprises, educators and artists have even more reasons to use iPad for all their business and personal needs.”
The new larger-capacity iPad launches next Tuesday, February 5 and will carry a $100 premium over the current top-end configuration, coming in at $799 for the Wi-Fi models and $929 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular models.

Rumors and hints of a 128 GB iPad developed quickly with a reference to higher-capacity iOS devices appearing in what turned out to be the shipping version of iOS 6.1 when it was released as a beta to developers over the weekend. Just a day later, new high-end iPad configurations were spotted in the stock database of a major U.S. retailer, suggesting that a launch was indeed imminent.

These price points are ridicules. Interesting that they keep getting away with raising it.

I don't understand it either, the only thing i hear people say what they do on the ipad is internet.

Why pay those prices.

To me it's still a big iphone. lol

I actually do more with my Iphone, I don't see myself taking an ipad to the gym, supermarket or take pictures with it.

128 gigabyte ANYTHING is way overdue.

The iPod Touch SHOULD HAVE been 128 gig years ago, and at lower price points.

At this point, I'm saddened Microsoft's zune sucked so bad, and that there hasn't

been an android music player worth anything (don't give me that galaxy s-4 nonsense--

I'm talking strictly music player at lower price points).

The iPod Touch should be just under $200 with a 128 gig model being no more

than a $50 dollar upgrade.

I fugging LOVE my apple products, and gladly pay for Macs.

But, their iOS devices don't impress me. And, I think the competition's offerings

are even less impressive.

I do think it's amazing that Apple has completely introduced yet another once-niche

product (Tablets) to the world rethought as a true seperate device rather than

a 'computer' or a 'cellphone'. But, I for the love of me can't figure out why I would

need one.

Apple have lost the plot. They are still taking their customers for granted.

The phones have fallen behind an ae being outsold by Samsung and outperformed by Nokia. IOS is stale and boring. Its a sad day for apple fans when Windows 8 mobile trounces IOS for innovation and style.

Apple now find themselves playing catch up. The ipad mini was a rushed response to combat the Nexus and Kindle. Next they will bring out a bigger phone to try and combat the march of the SIII, the Nokia 920 and he Nexus 4.

Worst of all, the iphone is everywhere and become boring.

They need Steve jobs back.

I haven't filled up my 64gb yet. lol

The newspapers have reported the cheap laptops ($500.00 and lower) are taking a beating, I'll assume iPad and other tablets are gobbling up that end of the market. Depending on what you use a computer for I guess a tablet could replace a notebook. But yeah, the increase in storage space is long overdue.

I'm glad Samsung is hot on Apples heels because I think something going to have to give. I don't think Apple can afford to keep having these incremental upgrades (OO look, we moved the button to the right!) and charge premium prices. There's no way anyone should pay $1200.00 / $1500.00 for a 13' inch notebook with a 5400 rpm hard drive, especially if your are recording with it. That's the stone age. lol

Maybe Im old school, but I love my desktop and cant see getting away from it. I built it myself its load to the gills and does far more than anything apple has. Plus it doesn't get needlessly upgraded every 6 months for 100's of dollars.

Folks do some serious gaming with their Ipad. You also have a ton of apps that you can't get

on other tablets. Is the IPAD overpriced. You bet your sweet ass but then

are some of the other brand name tablets. (Samsung anyone) I have an Ipad and my sister has

a Nexus 7 and it is sweet. Ipad while overpriced is superior to other tablets

on the market. I just laugh my ass off when I see people try to justify the

purchase of their tablet by saying it's better than Ipad.

All you gotta to do is get Adam to bite into the Apple... HOOKED. lol lol lol

hug You know, if I couldn't mess with you, I'd be bored.

The iPad is like a Swiss Army knife; in my opinion the iPad is the best product Apple makes.

Just a tidbit. What's the difference between having an Ipad and an Iphone?

Oh yeah you don't have to pay a monthly bill for your Ipad. lol

I have an IPad 2 and IPhone 5. Love the IPad. The phone is basically just a smart phone. I also have a desktop and a laptop. The laptop is losing out to the IPad. The one thing I can't do as well on the IPad is type. I can't touch type on it. I read books on it. I do a lot of reading on the IPad. I don't use my phone for reading other than tweets FB and email. I have never played games, movies or music on my phone. I have more apps on my IPad than IPhone.

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Has the cult of Apple bitten you.. wink

I had an ipad 3 and google Nexus 7 andI gave the ipad to my dad because the Nexus was a better device. Fits in my jacket pocket, plays everything I throw at it without the need for itunes or any re-encoding, uses universal charging equipment and is half the price, faster and has much cheaper apps and accessories. And google music gives 20,000 tracks of free storage.

So what exactly makes the ipad so superior in your eyes that you laugh your ass off?

To each their own. 128 GB is almost too much for me. If it were an iPod, that's a completely different story. I'd be happy with a 16 GB iPad with non-retina display but I can't even afford that. lol

As soon as they can drop the price points on the new iPod touch, then they'll over a 128 gig model, and that spells certain death for the iPod classic.

Nexus 7 is not a better device. Good yes but not better than Ipad. Proof is in the

pudding. Research the devices online. You will find that 3 times as many

customers had problems with the Nexus versus the Ipad. If you get a good Nexus

that isn't buggy you're set. People have had problems with the glass coming

apart on the Nexus or defects. Of course Nexus 7 is half the price IT'S A

7 INCH TABLET. Try buying it's 10 inch counterpart it's the same price as IPAD.

I don't care for 7 inch tablets. I dig the 10 much better. I get an ass of free apps

with the IPad so paying for any is not an option and i do have Cloud strorage and

have no need for ITunes especially for music. I also know exactly where to go

for free books.

I didn't want one for the longest time, and then my dumbass realized it's actually the perfect replacement for a PDA, which I haven't had since 08.

I used to have one but now I have an iPhone and my music library has grown considerably. I hate to constantly sync the fucking thing. I want an iPod classic so that I can just put everything on there and forget about syncing. lol
