Mom's 50th birthday

What should I do or give her for her 50th birthday? She's not into flowers, she likes chocolate. She wants to remember this day. The day after she is going on a cruise for 8 days. She doesn't care for a massage/spa.

Take her on a shopping spree for her trip and a nice lunch/dinner after with a box of chocolates to take home.

Maybe get her special jewelry: a diamond pendant set or mother's ring.

Does she like to socialize? You can rent out a banquet hall and stage a surprise dinner for her and her friends/family. Show a slideshow at dinner, recounting great moments in her life and then have dancing. (we did this for my mom).

That was a very sweet gesture you did for your mom.

When my mom turned 50, she already told me that she wanted a party. So we had a birthday bash for her. All of her former/current co-workers and family attended. I had a raffle going on where people had a chance to win prizes and also a part where people come up and give reflections on how they knew her and how special she was to them. She loved it.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

She loves parties! In fact, I've been helping her plan her retirement party which will be next Saturday. She's been driving me insane since retiring..especially about this party. I just want it over with already! lol I have to keep reminding her that this is a retirement party and not a wedding reception. lol

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Thanks! I hope it all goes well too. She actually turns 60 in November this year...so I'm really hoping that yet ANOTHER party will need to be planned. Hopefully, she'll do something on a smaller level. Because I'm exhausted. lol

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
