I'm pissed at Cyberpower PC!!! Come join me... Bought a Cyberpower PC via Newegg in Nov.2012 Ran it about 30hrs. when something fizzed and the rig has no power. Contacted warranty support and they send me an email about how to test the power supply by shorting the system with a PAPERCLIP!!!!!

Does this sound right??? Better yet, when you read through the warranty they have completely covered themselves in TONS of warranty disclaimers. Talk about covering Uranus!!

So they "fix" the issue (I hope) and ship it to my home where NO ONE WILL BE!
I figure it should be a simple request to change the delivery address... NOT!!! Despite multiple calls to Cyberpower they refuse to change the delivery address. Their excuse is some made-up liability boilerplate BS despite the fact that the shipment is insured. Even UPS can't help because Cyberpower locks their shipping info.
It should NOT be that hard to change the delivery address for any shipment in TWO-THOUSAND-THIRTEEN!!!
Cyberpower continues to claim that THREE delivery attempts must be made, the PC needs to be returned to their warehouse, and only THEN can they ship it to the new address.
THAT'S.THE.DUMBEST.THING.I'VE.EVER.HEARD.
Next time I plan to spend $1000 someplace for a PC I'll support a local small business or build the damn thing myself.
Customer Service as poor as this shouldn't even exist in 2013

I always read the small print in the warranty information and conditions/terms before purchasing anything online. One of my rules, if the seller doesn't pay for return merchandise because its defective I don't buy from them, period. I tend to purchase high tickets items from retail online stores who allow you 30/31 days return no questions asked, with full monetary refund, no store credit nonsense. You should ask these clowns can you pickup your package at the UPS distribution center? The only thing I can suggest is you have someone home to recieve your package. In the past I've missed the UPS guy and tracked him down in my neighboorhood, my husband marvels at my nack of finding him, but hey you do what you have to do. Good luck. |

Hindsight being 20/20 and all, I agree SO MUCH!! It's funny what a deal can make one do... I may have saved a buck, but look at the cost...

You know, it's funny... I want to scream from the rooftops how shitty this experience is and I want to complain to everyone that will listen (and probably will...)
but it's SO much work!! Time wasted on this, that's the real cost here... A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon |

My daughter wanted to return a defective midi keyboard hell, returning it to cost most than the damn thing itself. I told her to forget about it and buy another brand at Guitar Center, 30 day return policy. |
