Actor/actress or musician?

If you were given the opportunity to change your life and have a good chance at being in the movies or in the music field...which would you choose?

Doesn't mean you have to be a good singer or a great actor. There are plenty of mediocre singers (thank you autotune) and actors out there.

This is a "what if" anyway.

SO which field interests you (or if neither one)...and why???

I would choose acting.

Being part of a great movie and in the company of good actors would be a dream for me.

Not that I'm taking acting lessons anytime soon (although I have my eye on an "Acting for Writers" workshop in NYC) but in this hypothetical situation, I would choose the Hollywood life.

hmm

Plus...maybe I'd get a love scene with you-know-who.

Musician ~ REAL Musician ...

I'm musically inclined ~ already play several instruments

Can read and write music

and attend/play live private jams 2-6 times a month as it is now anyway

Much more creative freedom too over an actress

Acting interests me, but I could never be one because you essentially do whatever directors tell you to do. It's cool because it takes you out of your comfort zone and makes you explore new situations, but it would make me too uncomfortable.

That said, I think I might prefer Hollywood to the music industry

Rock and roll!

I've found nothing that compares to performing on stage.

I used to want to do music (I play guitar and keyboards, do some singing), but I'd go with acting (you don't have to create anything - just memorize someone else's words). Then again, you're at the mercy of casting agents and - even if you get to the level of a George Clooney, or whatever - audiences can be fickle.

Fame seems to be a huge annoyance. Wouldn't want it.

Rococo

musician.first i think i would want to try to form two groups, my main group which will an synthpop/darkwave act, in which, i will perform in drag in dedication to all trans people or people who do drag in order to show support for them, even though, i associate with the whole cisgender thing! secondly, my rock group, which will blend all types of rock genres. My solo will more of a experimental phase such as an album which will be minimal techno, another album will mix japanese traditional instruments with synths and lastly double album with violin rock and the other one accoustic. i will them retire and become a hermit in Japan. eventually, i will try to get others famous!

as for actor , i wanna be a voice actor for like anime(regular and porn ones too)

as for dancer, i think, only if i were to like compete in ru paul drag race season 9

I would want to be a Musician.

Actors / Actresses learn how to falsify their emotions. Musicians express their Emotions through what they play.

Life is short, don't be a dick.

Yes, the director is the way to go. Or maybe the writer, though they get zero recognition

An actor. I could actually do that, but I couldn't sing or play anything to save my life. Ultimately, I'd want recognition for something at which I was actually competent.

I can't sing nor play an instrument but since this is strictly just a "what if" question, I would definitely want to be a musician. They've always seemed to live wilder lives (well, at least they used to before they all became "down to earth" and "normal" barf)

I would flaunt my fame with wild hair, outrageous custom made clothes, unique hats, limos, mansions, bodyguards, and a harem of men which wouldn't be hidden in a closet but flaunted in people's faces and I'd be such a bitch that I'd dare someone to say anything if they didn't like it. I wouldn't lift a finger to do a thing. I wouldn't even hold my own cigarette, I'd have someone to hold it for me on one of those long cigarette holders and place it to my mouth every time I nodded that I needed a puff. Hell, I'd even have someone hired to wipe my ass.
