Los Angeles Can Not Take The Cold

Ok i will admit it's been chillier than usual here but people are highly overreacting to the cold lol

I mean my hometown over christmas break it was snow, ice, wind chill and freezing temperatures.

Everyone has been freaking out here as if they just discovered what below 50 degrees is lol

This video is a good summarization

I spoke with my relatives in LA and one said she's had her fireplace burning for 24/7. When I asked her how "cold" was it she said, 42 today. eek Girl please! lol I live in an area of Michigan where on average we receive 73.5 inches a snow and this year we've only gotten 1.5 inches. Its been on average between 38 - 50 degrees and we are on the lake... this is unheard of. Folks out there trippin because the temps have reached freeze stage... boo hoo hoo. lol

lol Right?

It was 7º here yesterday morning and 9º this morning.

It was 16º at my parents' place in AZ, though - which is super cold for there, even in the desert. It better warm up before I head out there is a couple weeks. mad

guilty as charged. i'm in l.a., and it's probably about 45 or 50 now. i walked over to the corner drugstore at lunch yesterday and thought i was going to die of frostbite! lol lol lol

so yeah, we're all whiny little beeyotches. funny thing is, i was born in michigan, and visited many years ago during winter, where it was snowing and below zero. i must have blocked that experience out of my mind. wink

I'm joining the whiners, I don't intimidate easy. *heater up full blast*

The fact is that most people who live here are not native here, they're transplants from the colder regions of the US and they're the biggest complainers, so I don't know who the jokes on. I figure they should be the ones showing us natives this ain't nothing and that's not what's happening.

People here are facebooking every hour of how they are dying:eyes: i am still in shorts here and happy as hell.

During the holiday in Texas it was literally blizzard like snow for an entire week... THAT is cold.

i'm not joking if it got any colder i think Los Angeles business here would cancel work as if there was a blizzard neutral

I'm born and raised in Toronto. We have cold winters, but I can't stand the cold. I absolutely hate it. I would love to live in a climate without winter. I would definitely want Fall because it's so beautiful that time of year, but winter can bugger off for good as far as I'm concerned.

Jokes aside in all honesty, even without the blizzards and the stuff up to your knees, human beings can still die at these tempertures.

Thank God for small favors.
