Anyone watching the Golden Globes/Red Carpet?

I'm flipping between the Golden Globes Red Carpet & Iron Man.

Isla Fisher & Amy Adams look so much alike to me. * boxed *

Not really being knocked out by the fashions.

Seeing any dresses you like? I just got a glimpse of Halle Berry's dress. I think she pulled off what Lucy Lu was going for but missed the mark on.

I hated Anne Hathaway's 2 pc. Loved JLo's and Halle's. Loved Jody's speech. Mel didn't look as nuts as usual. Robert Pattinson... drool Tina Fey makes me lol Also drool for RDJ. Loved that Cheadle won! WIsh SLJ had been there. Glad Quentin won. thumbs up!

I thought it was a rambling mess. Was she trying to say that celebs shouldn't come out through media coverage or press conferences? Cause shes not Honey Boo Boo? Which I get if shes trying to say that her sexuality isn't the deciding factor in who she is, but to do it while getting an award seems rather hypocritical.

Plus being constantly shot in the same frame as her best bud Mel Gibson didn't make me feel any better bout her either. sad

it was hella-rambling, to be sure.

but it was cute. i was surprised more than anything, cause i never saw it coming.

doing it during a lifetime achievement award didnt bother me. it's the biggest national moment she has had since winning the oscar for silence, and likely to be one of her last. why not use the moment of love and big attention to make her point?

why on earth would ANY star decide to announce their sexual preference at an awards ceremony????

wtf does an event like that have to do with sexual preference?

i get that she was 'sharing' about her'life', but really??

I had to leave during the ceremony to take my daughter back to her dorm room, so I missed much of the ceremony (and Downton Abbey).

I'll be catching up on those over the next couple of days.

My parents were watching it, so I sat through most of it with them. Wiig and Ferrell were amusing (Tommy Lee Jones, get a sense of humor). Poehler and Fey got off a few good lines. Marion Cotillard's a hot broad.

Whatevs. shrug

I didn't watch the entire show, but I did see Jodie. At first, I was confused. What the hell was she talking about? She kept on and on and I thought, "If you don't hurry up and thank who the fuck ever, they're gonna start playing that "Get Yo Ass Off the Stage" overture."

Kerry Washington's a hot broad, as well. So's Kristen Wiig.

Just sayin'.

I totally agree with you guys about it being a rambling mess. It sure was! Why the hell did she mention Honey Boo Boo Child? I was confused and felt she was incoherent at times, though it was heartfelt too. I was like, wait, is this a coming out/suicide note reading? eek When she was saying we may never see her again, I thought she was dropping hints at something. It was an odd speech to say the least though I know it took courage to do it.

Giving up acting to direct full time. But, she keeps getting dragged back into acting.

I believe because of her point she was making about how everyone in Hollywood (or everyone period) is supposed to be on some mindless reality show...and she refused to live that way. clapping

Thanks for breaking it down to me. It makes more sense now. Wow that was one loaded speech.
