Makeup Remover - Help Please!

Hi all,

I hope you wonderful folks can help me...

I have winter allergies, and my eyes water a lot more, so I switched to waterproof mascara, but I can't find a good product to remove it. I bought some of those makeup remover wipes, but they don't do much of anything.

I'd love to hear any suggestions. Thanks!

I use good brand of non-allergic babywipes and vaseline.

But I also like this....

oil-free eye makeup remover pads

I use this:

Add a little to a cotton ball and gently sweep across. I wash my face right after to rinse it all away. It works well for me.

I'm not gonna lie to you guys, I don't really know all that much about waterproof makeup. I think the only waterproof items I've ever worn are rubber gloves for when I'm doing the dishes (& no, "doing the dishes" is not some kind of italian sexual innuendo).
If I don't, then the soapy water tends to make my hands get really dry. And, yeah, I know that I could use a moisturizer for that, but the truth is, I don't like the greasy feeling that most namebrands leave on my hands.
And yeah, I know,
I could probably get some good ideas of non-greasy mosturizers over in the "winter dryness" thread, but to be totally honest, I prefer reading the suggestions in those types of threads more for entertainment purposes than I do for any kind of actual real life application.

I like Neutrogena products in general... will definitely look for this next time I'm at the store. Thanks!

i use vaseline as well! Works great! Sometimes I even slather it all over my face when im feeling very dry..

I have very sensitive skin and I have found that these work when im lazy..

This should be moved to the Prince: Music and More forum, as the definitive expert on this is Prince, and that's the forum he reads the most.

I bought the Neutrogena... and I love it!

I really don't wear much more than mascara, blush and lipstick... so the fact that it will take off the waterproof mascara is just perfect.

Thanks everyone for all the tips!

Ottensen

if you want to go all natural sans chemicals, olive oil works wonderfully.

Just dab on a cotton ball and rub gently, it's nourishing to the delicate skin in the eye area as well as the lashes. Just keep some stored in a small jar in the bathroom and use as needed.
