Twinkies have been saved — for now.

Hostess and the Bakers Union have agreed to mediation, preventing a shutdown, CNBC reports.

There are 18,500 jobs at stake. 5,000 of the workers are members of the Bakers Union.

Judge Robert Drain of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of White Plains, N.Y., suggested it as a way to resolve their differences, The Wall Street Journal reports.

I personally think that it's sad to see them shutting down. People are up hear cracking jokes & shit, but it's not funny to think about all of the people who will lose their jobs.....especially when it's hard enough to get a job out here in this economy [like I said before.....the economy is fucked up, AMERICAN VOTERS]. @ least this company was based in America, Americans! This will be another American business shut down & I don't think it's cool @ all. Hostess made great snacks & bread, etc.

By the way, it seemed like Hostess was on its way out earlier this year. Hostess hasn't been in good business for a while because of bad decisions. That's what the owners get though.
