OJ was found not innocent in one trial, but he lost another trial soon afterward.

I suppose there was not definitive evidence to convict him, and the defense established the possibility that the police could both make errors as well as be biased. None of this says he did not do it IMO, just that the jury was not convinced that there was enough evidence to say he did do it.

But one thing stands out in Johnny Cochran's closing argument. He asked the jury to send a message. And that, they did! Where one group saw overwhelming evidence, another group overwhelmingly distrusted the legal system/police.

Yeah that's basically how the case ended. It wasn't really about OJ. It was about the legal system's fuckups. Like I said, it was Johnnie Cochran that appeared as the victor of the trial, not OJ.

Exactly, Cochran must have picked up on the larger societal implications of how people (including the jury, surely) were viewing the case, and made that the focus of attention rather than the murder itself.

Brilliant and possibly very shady. But it was his job to get OJ off however he could, and he did!

Right. Cochran was a genius. I was hoping not guilty just because of Cochran. If it had been another attorney, OJ would've been LOCKED UP. Trust. That's why when OJ went on that trial for robbery, I know he was wishing Cochran's ghost would've been his attorney rather than the guy he got to represent him. lol

In a court of law............he was NOT guilty.

Case closed.

[Edited 11/20/12 10:21am]

yeah, but we know he did it.

Just like we know Casey Anthony killer her girl.

When folks on this thread say he did it, they're not talking about a legal ruling but reality.

One can be an aquited king of pop and still like to slip 12 year olds a little bit of bleached sausage. Shit happens.

OJ did it.

I watched that when they had the bronco speeding and being chased by police live on tv that day. If he was not guilty he would of stayed.

I still believe that OJ did it.

The case may be closed but that doesn't mean the truth is known. Innocent folks go to jail all the time, the opposite happens too.

Exactly. And even if there is a slim chance that he didn't do it, keep that ass locked up for beating on that woman.

101. Prison guard Jeff Stuart in the room when OJ talked to minister Rosey Grier swears in an affidavit he heard OJ shout: "I didn't mean to do it. I'm sorry."

http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/notorious_murders/famous/simpson/home_15.html

"Then there was the evidence regarding Rosey Grier.

Following Simpson's arrest, Grier had been a regular visitor at the Los Angeles County Jail. A giant, African-American former NFL defensive lineman, Grier had become an ordained minister.

On November 13th, 1994, a Sunday afternoon at about 4:30 p.m., he and Simpson were talking by telephone, separated by a glass partition. A deputy called Jeff Stuart was sitting close by and heard Simpson yell, and slam down his telephone, shouting: "I didn't mean to do it. I'm sorry." Grier leaned forward and yelled back: "O.J., you gotta come clean. You gotta tell somebody!"

Simpson then buried his face in his hands, looking distraught. They talked for another few minutes and then Grier left.

Although both Stuart and Grier gave testimony to Judge Ito regarding the overheard conversation, and the judge ruled that Simpson had waived any right to "clergyman-penitent privilege," he nevertheless disallowed the prosecution from presenting the guard's testimony."

IMO: OJ hired someone "To teach Nicole a lesson (As in assault & battery)." Nic knew how to Kick-box, so two had to be involved. Things got out of hand (OJ - "If I Did It" - About Ron: " I said. "You think you can take me with your karate shit?"

If the accomplice was his son Jason (who allegedly has a rage disorder; check out what William Dear has to say.*) or this person, he (OJ) can still face charges of being an accomplice in the commission of a crime (conspiracy to do bodily harm or theft) that resulted in the death of two persons.

I believe (& this gives me peace, about murdered victims not given justice on Earth)
OJ & anyone else involved in these murders, has one more court date. When they die.
