where is your most favorite place on the planet, and why?

my knowledge dost compare to greatest number of stars that fail to fill the full expanses of sky.

the knowledge does set my heart a'flutter and twinkle bright like the glimmer in thine eye.

(but i am too stoned to try and do that in iambic pentameter)

i have read or seen almost all of em. most of the comedies save 1 or 2, about half the tragedies, and a few of the historicals.

personal faves would be hamlet, midsummer night's dream, othello, and the tempest (which is really underrated amongst his work)

i grew up acting in a recreation of shakes' globe theater, and one of my mentors as a teen was a shakespeare scholar.

when i was still acting, i was in hamlet, romeo and juliet, othello, measure for measure, midsummer night's dream, and probably one or two i am forgetting. i also did some shakes-related comedies like rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead, and good morning desdemona/good night juliet.

as a writer, shakes is REALLY helpful knowledge. you can spot the people who know their shakespeare when i can shorthand a lot of my characters that i have created to shakes characters with dramaturgs, producers, directors, and so on. ben is a hamlet in the worst way, kevin is an ophelia, danni is katherine in tmaing of the shrew, and so on...

and you?

so far:

new york motherfucking city!

i moved a LOT as a kid. i lived in numerous counties in 3 states before i was 18.

then i came to nyc and knew i was at home. i will probably never live fulltime anyhwere else. not having to ever drive again is a decent part of that, but i love this city in general. it is who i am and where i belong.

provincetown is my paradise though. i go every summer and it is my tranquil lil' slice o' heaven. given that it is an artists' retreat the other 3 seasons, i would really love to have a place there and visit it often. michael cunningham (author of "the hours" among others) bought a place there and lives there parttime. i really hope some day i do well enough with my writing that i can do the same.

austin would round out the top 3. i lived there several years and have a real fondness for it.

ooh, that's a tough one, surprisingly.

um... the jeans i am wearing cause they hide how chunky i really am, and my collection of fun t-shirts. i have TONS... like probably 100.

i
---HATE---
doing laundry because i have to leave my building and go to a laundromat. often instead of doing laundry, i just go buy more.

i have a v-neck with a silk screen of two rosaries on it that i have worn to death. i really love that one in particular.

I really should invest more in clothes, but I have trouble spending that kind of money on myself. I also find that when I'm broke I see tons of things I love and when I have money I don't like what I see.

an african perdue chicken or a european perdue chicken?

or is the perdue chicken some kind of high school mascot?

2. How many fibers are intertwined on a shrdded wheat buscuit?

138.

i just broke one apart and counted the other day.

but in fairness, it was a frosted one, so that answer has a +/- 3 fiber variage.

3. What does Touche et Lele Pu' mean?

i believe in translates into english as "i really wanna zig-a-zig-ah"?

4. How many times did the Batmobile ( of Adam West fame ) catch a flat?

i had to google that one.

short answer: there are way too many people with too much free time on their hands, and also AW batman fans are CRAZY obsessed.

long answer:

none, really, because the batmobile had an ATRD (automatic tire repair device), old chum.

most of my t-shirts are less than 10 bucks. i know how to shop cute for no money. came out of old navy weds with 5 shirts for 24.

Old Navy is great for getting a lot for a little $, but being plus sized, I can't always find stuff that fits, there and in most stores.

I'll be in Seattle in March for my baby sister's wedding if that helps you decide when to go, hope to go back again in Aug so...just sayin'

NYC, which i do live in.

not a huge LA fan. i have an actor friend who lives here but often flies to LA for his TV and movie work. he doesnt understand my dislike of it, though he prefers NYC as well.

he asked me what i was gonna do when they make movies of my plays... and i said i am gonna location shoot them (if possible) in the places the are set: NYC, texas, and colorado.

he asked how i was gonna do the tv sitcom i wan to write, and i said it is also set in nyc.

then he asked what i was gonna do once i wrote something set in LA?

"kill myself" i laughed.
