Show me where I wished him ill.

And let me be the first of us to wish him a speedy recovery.

You doddering old fool! I never said anything about you. You followed me into this thread!

What a good CHristian man, to wish him well. Bless u.

I followed you into this thread?!? Now look here you young whippersnapper - I posted in it before you did. You're stalking this old geezer, just like in the "Men shouldn't hit women" thread!

Somebody get me some Metamucil and Ensure! And a rocking chair!

All joking aside, he's not OK. He won't be OK until he changes what he puts into his body.

I have never, ever done drugs and this is a good illustration why.

I'm either missing something that's so good you'll do it until it kills you, or I'm missing something that you can't stop doing even when you know it's going to kill you sooner or later.

I've seen so many people fucked up on drugs and alcohol that I can't image what gets a lot of folks to do it. It astounds me to say the least.

I know. And those people never seem to stop and wonder, "Hmmm. Why don't I see any 40-, 50- or 60-year-old drug users in my neighborhood?"

It never enters their mind that all those people are either dead or in jail.

Too much money, too much time, too many people trying to convince you that you're somehow better than the rest, and too much insecurity.

Plus, people don't see the end result of drugs with relation to themselves. They see one drink, one cigarette, one line. One will not kill you, so it seems harmless enough. Fast forward ten or twenty years...

that said, I don't even know if Wayne is using drugs.

Exactly. It seems the time they finally start caring, some or most of them are already in their graves.

You would think so.

I remember reading once about heroin and rock and roll. All the devastating effects, deaths, etc. But there was one quote from an unnamed record executive that was unbelievable.

He said he liked his artists to take heroin because it unlocked the most amount of creativity.

I wonder if musicians have people telling them, "You need to be high to write a hit"?

I would not be surprised. Explains some of the Motown deaths.

Just a guess but whatever they are using it doesn't seem to agree with flying among other things. Rick Ross had the same issue a few months ago.

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.
