The Best Man’ sequel release date announced

Morris Chestnut, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard and Taye Diggs in 'The Best Man' (1999)

Fourteen years after the cult black hit The Best Man was released in theaters, Universal Studios has announced a release date for its sequel, November 15, 2013.

The original starred Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Terrence Howard and Nia Long and grossed over $35 million at the box office.

Malcolm D. Lee who wrote, directed and co-produced the original and will resume all three roles for the sequel.

I'm usually not a fan of sequels, but this one, I'm more than willing to go see.

I wonder which way they're going to go with all the characters...I remember the very end with out takes showed the day after the reception, with Terrence Howard's character waking up hung over in bed next to Shelby(Melissa deSousa) with her groaning in disgust and him screaming, "OMG DID YOU TOUCH ME ??!!!?!? !"

It'd be kinnna interesting to know what happened to those two after that.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had those two characters happily married with kids. Then the conflict would be that Quinton (Terrance Howard) is going through a midlife crisis and feeling like he's "missing something".

I dunno, it's been a while. Though I guess I am curious to what happened to 'em after. Folks ain't as pretty as they use to be, though.
